Who you are

Proven experience managing the full cycle account process that includes month end process, accruals, revenue recognition, costing, reporting, complex transactions, GAAP adjustments. foreign subsidiaries, and global operations is required
Minimum 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP
2-3 years of in-depth experience working in the SaaS industry is required
Advanced experience using NetSuite is required
Exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to navigate challenging situations is required
Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict monthly close reporting requirements
Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
CPA License highly preferred
Self starter with the ability to manage tight deadlines, detail orientated and work independently is required
Holds self-accountable to achieving individual and team goals
Team player with proven collaboration abilities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Bachelors degree in Accounting required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Excel

What the job involves

Research and provide guidance around complex accounting transactions, including but not limited to: revenue recognition, collaborations, fixed assets, impairment, debt and equity financing, stock compensation, intercompany balance reconciliation and business acquisitions
Prepare monthly financial closings (including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations) and variance analysis, account reconciliation experience associated with judgmental areas
Own revenue recognition and accounts receivable reserve
Oversee accounting and reconciliation activities for debt, lease and equity plan
Establish, maintain and ensure compliance for company accounting policies
Provide significant support of the annual financial statement audit, including oversight of third-party subject matter experts and work with external audit firm
Oversee GAAP adjustments, monitor GAAP changes and implement best practices
Review commissions calculations and accrual
Prepare global reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly and consolidation), collaborating with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion
