- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years of previous accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel

What the job involves
- Shutterstock is seeking an accounting professional to take on the role of Junior Accountant to help support the continued expansion of our global business
- The successful candidate will be involved in the timely and accurate processing of the monthly close processes
- Prepare journal entries specific to cash and also complete bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Help support the Fixed Asset inventory and related depreciation entries
- Analyze expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
- Prepare various bank account reconciliations and investigate variances
- Assist with financial audits, SEC filings and SOX compliance
- Assist with monthly/quarterly financial reports and analyses to various departments and business units
- Other ad-hoc projects, as necessary
