- 2-4 years of work experience in a highly analytical field, such as strategic finance, corporate finance, sales operations, investment banking, private equity, or consulting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and develop insights
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with with advanced proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
- Experience with SQL or business intelligence/data visualization platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau), a plus!
- Experience in technology, healthcare, and/or consumer marketplaces a plus
- A strong academic record
What the job involves
- As a Strategic Finance Associate, you will partner directly with sales, marketing, and product leadership to analyze and forecast key drivers of Zocdoc’s financial performance and support strategic decision-making
- This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic decision-making process of the company and play a key role in driving financial performance and growth
- Providing strategic finance and analytical support to Zocdoc’s business units through forecasting, reporting, modeling, financial analysis, and business case preparation
- Collaborating with sales, marketing, and product leadership teams to prioritize strategic initiatives and direct investment decisions
- Owning financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and key performance metrics
- Monitoring and evaluating financial performance against company forecasts/targets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
- Assisting in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing key findings and recommendations
- Supporting preparation of materials for Zocdoc’s board and investors
- Participating in ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed to support strategic initiatives and business priorities, including customer acquisition and unit economic analyses

The platform allows millions of users each month to view open appointment times with doctors, book instantly online, read verified reviews, and keep up-to-date with checkups. The platform works for both in-person and virtual care – the latter of which has seen a substantial increase in demand. Zocdoc is one of the few companies tackling these problems in healthcare.
The company has solidified its position in the SaaS space, in part by forming partnerships with companies such as WellHive, a leader in digital care, to drive healthcare support for veterans. Going forward, Zocdoc will continue to invest in its platform to optimize its services for its users.
