What the job involves

We are currently seeking a Principal Engineer to join our Core Product Engineering Team
The team is at the heart of our industry-leading wealth management platform, driving innovation and reliability for our clients
Working on a blend of cutting-edge technologies and critical legacy systems, the team thrives on solving complex challenges to deliver high-impact solutions
As we modernize our platform, you will play a key role in breaking apart monolithic applications into scalable microservices
We are looking for a software engineering leader who can drive the future of our platform
Drive the evolution of our Core Product Platform by creating a technical vision that connects our technology and business strategies
Evaluate and drive strategic business and technology decisions for the company and for customers
Define architectural patterns and design principles that can be applied across Engineering
Collaborate closely with our engineering leads to define and implement our platform architecture to meet Addepar’s growth and scalability needs
Evolve Addepar’s product and engineering reality to match the findings, realities and challenges presented by numerous, large parallel client implementations
Be a technical thought leader in multiple areas who educates and shares best practices. Your contributions deliver strategic and prescriptive guidance

Investment advisers require speed, clarity and flexibility when managing client portfolios. Addepar is a wealth management software platform created with these requirements in mind. The platform aggregates portfolio, market, and client data in one place, allowing financial professionals to analyse and visualise the data they need.

Addepar currently tracks around $6 trillion of assets serving over 800 clients, including individual advisers, family offices, and large institutions such as AllianceBernstein, Bartlett Wealth Management, and Morgan Stanley.

The multi-unicorn company has been pursuing global expansion, opening its first office outside of the United States in Scotland in 2021 and a new London office in late 2022. It appointed new leadership members from companies like Oracle and Amazon Web Services. A Series G investment in 2025 will further accelerate its momentum as it continues to innovate its suite of solutions.
