A passion for leading a high-performing operations team in a fast-paced, remote environment is a must
5+ years of HR Operations experience strongly preferred
2+ years of people management experience
Bachelors degree strongly preferred
Ability to manage remote teams and work across multiple time zones

What the job involves

We are seeking a Team Lead, People Ops International to join our team, which is a part of our broader People Success Team
The Team Lead, People Ops International will lead a team of HR Generalists in the EMEA and APAC regions responsible for delivering HR services at scale through our global tiered shared services model
This role will report to the Manager, People Ops Global
Lead a team of 8-10 (remote) team members in Europe and Asia responsible for providing a seamless employee experience by answering HR questions, providing HR advisory support, managing employee data and conducting HR operational services
Build and maintain a high-performing team through coaching, development, and engagement
Monitor and proactively manage key operational metrics (eg., response time; quality; employee experience)
Engage with stakeholders to resolve escalations
Identify and drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery, providing direction to internal stakeholders, project managers, and process specialists on implementing efficiencies and integrations between processes, teams, and tools
Think creatively about the employee experience - find ways to improve every interaction with the People Operations team

Coinbase allows its users to create their own crypto wallets and start buying or selling cryptocurrencies by connecting with their bank accounts. It also provides a series of merchant payment processing systems and tools that support transactions with many popular websites.

Coinbase has recently made a big push to broaden its services away from consumers and they want to cater services from institutional investors.

Coinbase currently offers one of the largest selection of cryptocurrency assets - over 10,000 but does not allow trading on all of them. The company wisely keeps such offerings to the most stable assets however, the list is always expanding. Coinbase see a much wider adoption of cryptocurrency and tokens in the future, and plan to expand potentially to millions in the future. It speaks volumes to Coinbase's goals of wider global adoption that former UK Finance Minister George Osborne is now an Advisor at the company.

Coinbase's lofty ambitions paid off in it being the first crypto listing on the NASDAQ. The company has weathered several bull and bear runs in the cryptocurrency industry through diversification of its offerings, including wallet-as-a-service technology for crypto platforms, and has acquired healthy coffers of cryptocurrency assets. The aim is to eventually operate independently of the volatility surrounding cryptocurrencies.
