Who you are
- This is an exciting opportunity for an inquisitive, data focussed team player to play a pivotal role in the tactical and operational direction of the IPP function
- Strong SQL experience, with the ability to write scalable and optimised queries
- Experience in using industry standard ERP, BI, planning tools, and G-suite
- Ability to manipulate and model data in a clear and consistent manner
- A highly numerate and analytical mindset focused on the customer and the commercial benefits of making change
- Capable of working autonomously and taking responsibility for those tasks which you have ownership of
- Curious about data
- Experience in supply chain / buying / merchandising teams
- A proactive self starter with a positive mind set

- The ability to manage multiple priorities across a range of stakeholders

What the job involves
- The role of the Data and Insight Analyst will be to data mine the available information in order to create actionable insights across our categories
- Generating insights and translating available qualitative and quantitative data into actionable recommendations that will increase gross margin, control stock holding, and increase product availability
- Design and maintain complex yet effective data models
- Control and ownership of data within the IPP team - including Product portfolio, BOM changes and product launches
- Category analysis - sales growth, accuracy of plans and forecasts
- Rate of Sale analysis and risk mapping to suggest purchasing volumes, safety stock levels and cover
- Insight generation for NPD and EPD sales volumes
- Product analysis - growth and cull category suggestions based on volumes, margins, risks, and growth / decline
- Report and KPI dashboard generation for the IPP team - including supplier scorecarding for Procurement function
- Key user for NetSuite, FuturMaster, and Tableau
- You’ll work with the Trading, Finance and Production teams as well as the IPP team to use insights gathered from multiple data points to increase the forecast accuracy of plans, suggest improvements within the supply chain to reduce complexity, and direct the strategy of the procurement functions purchasing plans
