Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years experience in infrastructure management, cloud architecture, and security operations within a cloud software company or similar environment
- Strong technical expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure, GCP), networking, virtualization, and containerization technologies
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and controls to protect against cybersecurity threats
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure and Security leader to join our dynamic team
- You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our cloud-based software platforms
- You will be responsible for overseeing our infrastructure while leading efforts to enhance security measures and mitigate potential risks
- You will also be responsible for developer tools as well as cloud and security vendors
- You will be a doer, roll up your sleeves and deliver technical projects on your own as well as coordinate work amongst the team that’s comprised of employees and contractors
- Design, implement, and maintain the company's cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, security and performance
- Manage the deployment and maintenance of servers, containers, networks, storage, and other infrastructure components using infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Implement best practices for cloud architecture in areas of observability, elastic scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to implement DevOps & CI//CD best practices to optimize developer productivity and developer experience
- Manage cloud accounts, budget & vendors
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the company's infrastructure and data
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities
- Deploy vendor applications and tools to protect the cloud environment from cybersecurity threats
- Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, trends, and technologies to proactively mitigate risks
- Lead a team of infrastructure and security employees and contractors
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the team
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to foster professional growth and development
- Manage workload allocation, performance evaluations, and training initiatives to optimize team productivity and effectiveness
