Who you are
- The ideal candidate is highly analytical and strategic, approaches problems in a structured manner, is comfortable with ambiguity, and can communicate clearly and effectively
- 2+ years of relevant progressive Finance experience in a fast-paced and high growth environment, including Strategic Finance, FP&A, investment banking, or consulting
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills with experience building financial models
- Ability to manage and manipulate large data sets, critically analyze existing processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement
- An ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans
- Highly detailed individual with a sense of urgency and strong prioritization skills
- Excellent presentation and writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate messages that link business issues, financial results, and strategy at the executive level
- Bonus: Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau) and experience with Adaptive Planning and/or Oracle a plus
What the job involves
- As a Senior Revenue Financial Planning & Strategy Analyst, you will play a critical role on the Financial Planning & Strategy (FP&S) team
- The FP&S team is responsible for the financial decision-making across the organization
- The role supports a wide range of business processes and initiatives to maximize value and optimize company performance, including projects related to revenue, resource allocation, company-wide budgeting, long-term planning, and setting performance benchmarks for the company
- This is a highly visible role which will work closely with Finance Leadership and cross-functional business partners
- Managing regular revenue reporting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making for executives and predict trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Establishing financial revenue targets and leading revenue planning in close collaboration with the product and GTM teams to ensure alignment on revenue initiatives and growth goals
- Creating and maintaining advanced and intricate models for precise monthly, quarterly, and long-term revenue and KPI forecasting
- Optimizing reporting and forecasting processes to improve accuracy and to increase automation
- Utilizing data and insights to identify revenue problems and risks, and offering comprehensive solutions and recommendations to address them
- Working with the accounting department to enhance processes and reporting, and to prepare quarterly revenue forecasts
- Engaging in cross-functional collaboration to deeply understand the business and accurately forecast its growth

Checkr addresses the unpleasant and time consuming process of background checks so that companies using on-demand employees can make safer, more informed hiring decisions in less time. Background checks are a critical part of the hiring process, and CEO Daniel Yannisse noticed that they were painfully slow, resulting in loss of work for candidates and productivity downturns for employers.
Before Checkr entered the market in 2014 with its innovative AI technology and a solid $50m in venture capital funding, companies were waiting upwards of two weeks for their checks. Checkr substantially reduces this time frame and has grown to receive a $5 billion valuation.
Checkr has accelerated growth by making several highly advantageous acquisitions of competitor companies GoodHire and Inflection. As the world of work embraces diversity and inclusion, the company announced an end-to-end service for candidates wishing to expunge their criminal records, furthering the company’s ‘fair chance’ mission and clearing 1000s of candidates for free since 2021. New products launched at the end of 2023 include Checkr Pay (providing access to payment right after a shift) and Checkr Onboard (unified onboarding processes), exemplifying how Checkr is keeping pace with a rapidly changing, flexible, and mobile-first workforce.
