Who you are
- This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, sees operational complexity as an opportunity, and knows how to combine systems thinking, automation, AI tooling, and operational rigor to create leverage across the business
- You have 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, RevOps, or demand generation operations within a B2B SaaS environment
- You have 4+ years in a leadership position, where you’ve mentored and upleveled individual contributors
- You have experience rebuilding or significantly transforming marketing operations and GTM systems in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment
- You are AI-forward in how you think about operations, automation, workflows, and scale, and you actively look for ways to reduce manual work and increase organizational leverage
- You are a HubSpot expert with deep production experience across lead scoring, routing, lifecycle management, and campaign operations
- You understand the operational complexity that comes with supporting multiple customer segments — from SMB self-serve motions to enterprise sales-assisted funnels
- You’ve worked with large-scale lead volumes and know how to design systems that maintain speed, accuracy, and visibility across millions of records and touchpoints
- You are comfortable balancing long-term systems architecture with short-term business needs and fast-moving execution
- You have deep experience with marketing automation, CRM systems, lead routing, attribution, campaign operations, and reporting infrastructure
- You’ve partnered closely with Marketing, Sales, and RevOps teams to improve funnel performance and operational efficiency
- You are highly analytical and comfortable working with funnel metrics, campaign performance data, conversion rates, attribution models, and pipeline reporting
- You have experience managing complex workflows and building scalable systems that support growth across multiple teams and channels
- You’re detail-oriented and process-driven, but pragmatic enough to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
- You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can translate operational complexity into actionable insights
- You thrive in a remote, asynchronous environment and are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution

What the job involves
- Zapier is looking for a Manager of Marketing Operations to help rebuild and modernize our go-to-market operating system from the ground up
- This role is responsible for architecting scalable, AI-forward systems and processes that enable Marketing, Sales, and RevOps teams to move faster, operate smarter, and support the next phase of Zapier’s growth
- You’ll play a critical role in transforming how Zapier manages and activates millions of leads across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise segments
- From lead management and lifecycle orchestration to automation, attribution, routing, and reporting infrastructure, you’ll help design a GTM engine that is flexible, intelligent, and built to scale
- You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, Data, and Product teams to create durable foundations while enabling faster experimentation and execution
- Own and optimize Zapier’s marketing operations infrastructure, including campaign operations, lead management, attribution, automation, and reporting
- Partner with Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Sales, and RevOps to ensure seamless lead flow, accurate data capture, and efficient funnel management
- Build and maintain scalable processes and systems that improve campaign execution, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Manage marketing automation and CRM workflows, including lead scoring, routing, lifecycle management, segmentation, and nurture programs
- Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into funnel performance, campaign effectiveness, pipeline contribution, and ROI
- Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively recommend improvements that increase speed, scalability, and marketing impact
- Support experimentation and growth initiatives by ensuring clean data, reliable attribution, and operational readiness
- Document processes, establish operational best practices, and create durable systems that allow the marketing organization to scale effectively
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal systems teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize marketing technology and tooling
- Help drive alignment across Marketing, Sales, and RevOps through strong communication, operational rigor, and shared visibility into performance metrics

Even before remote working became the "in thing", freelancers, small business owners, and large organisations have found themselves needing more and more software platforms to serve their operational needs. As people used more software services, Zapier founders saw the need to connect the actions between these software and save everyone some time.
Zapier is the largest integration and automation tool for businesses. Since its founding, Zapier has grown its suite of automation offerings across almost every mainstream software service. The company is one of the most successful to come out of Y Combinator and has also been a pioneer of remote working.
Zapier has so far been able to capitalise heavily on its advantage as one of the first entrants and has had very little actual competition. Software services aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and organisations are only going to need more of them. This puts Zapier in a strong position for growth, but also opens up room for bolder companies to get in on the action. Companies like Airtable and Integromat are already preying on more niche segments of Zapier's market share.
