Who you are
- If you are a designer ready to own the experience and make a profound impact, shaping the future of business intelligence, we would love to meet you
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual interaction design & process
- Passionate about crafting exceptional user experiences, highly curious, a future thinker, and always interested in learning more about complex topics and getting up to speed quickly
- Proficiency in design (primarily Figma) and prototyping tools
- You have a familiarity with web technologies such as HTML/CSS/Javascript. Bonus points if you are familiar with React JS or other emerging frontend frameworks and technologies
- You are already leveraging AI to speed up and augment your end-to-end design process
- Strong understanding and proven experience of user-centered design principles, end-to-end customer workflows and ability to transform new users into habitual users
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated experience in project leadership and team mentorship
- Proven ability to mentor and guide team members, providing constructive feedback and support to foster professional growth and development
- You are extremely aware of the latest developments in AI & Search technologies, and stay up to date on a fast moving industry
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Staff Product Designer to join our growing team
- In this role, you will lead feature strategic design work within our Engagement Mission, leveraging your exceptional creative skills and design expertise to spearhead our design initiatives and produce outstanding user experiences
- You will be collaborating closely with cross-functional partner teams, you will be responsible for ensuring our product designs align with both business objectives and user requirements, while shaping the overall aesthetics, functionality, and usability of our products
- Through agentic workflow tools and purpose built generative AI, our Engagement team strives to deliver the most critical personalized insights, turning visitors into habitual users
- In addition, you will work closely with global, cross-functional teams, including product management, and engineering, to bring new features to market and help define our future product landscape that ensures our standing as the leader in market intelligence through AI-driven search
- You are critical in shaping the UX and driving the product's success
- You combine creativity, user empathy, and strategic thinking to deliver innovative and impactful design solutions
- This role is an opportunity to help establish the foundations for delivering an amazing workflow experience to our ever-growing customer base
- Create high-fidelity prototypes (regardless of tool), interaction designs and experiences that effectively communicate a vision for the product in terms of functionality and user experience
- Engage with customers through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand their needs, pain points, and behaviors. Iterate designs based on feedback and data analysis
- Develop and execute a design strategy that aligns with company goals
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and evaluate user requirements, translate them into effective designs, and ensure that the final product meets the needs of both the users and the business
- Have experience working within a growing and evolving design system, adapting to and implementing evolving design patterns and component libraries
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design
- Demonstrate strong and persuasive communication skills, ensuring complex ideas are understood by cross-departmental partners
- Collaborate with engineering teams during development, advocating for design quality and user experience by championing the importance of design fidelity and attention to detail throughout the development lifecycle

To remedy this, AlphaSense has built a smart search engine that slashes research time for analysts, using thousands of sources and a semantic indexing layer that can effectively query finance-specific language.
As a disruptor and market leader in this field, AlphaSense has few direct competitors, being most closely compared to Wolfram Alpha or LexisNexis. It helps that its tools are undoubtedly effective and valued by knowledge professionals: the company counts about 85% of the S&P 100 as customers and is trusted by J.P.Morgan, Microsoft, Credit Suisse and Google, among other major enterprises.
Having raised a large amount of funding over 2022 and 2023, AlphaSense has moved quickly to double down on its expansion in European markets, opening an office in Berlin to support this. With 2024 seeing investment from Singaporean EDBI, it has now set its sights on the Asia-Pacific region. As business intelligence will remain key for enterprises as they compete for market share, AlphaSense is well-placed for additional future growth.
