- You’ve got the experience. To be successful in this role, we’re looking for an individual with strong client / customer service experience (can be within retail, food, hospitality, education, etc). Proven leadership, mentorship or instructor experience is highly preferred

What the job involves
- Float is seeking a motivated BDR with an entrepreneurial spirit, an owner mindset, and a commitment to excellence
- Our ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and increased brand awareness, as well as supporting senior members of our Revenue team
- Prospecting & Lead Generation – Researching and identifying potential clients using various prospecting tools and techniques
- Outreach – Effectively conveying Float’s value to Canadian companies through cold calling, emailing, and other communication channels
- Relationship Building – Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within target organizations by understanding their business needs and challenges, and positioning Float as a solution
- Pipeline Management – Maintaining an accurate record of all communication with prospects, and organizing a stable pipeline of leads and opportunities
- Collaboration with Sales – Partnering with Account Executives to set up successful discovery and demo calls, and drive campaigns and tactics that get results
- Scaling & Refinement – Strategizing with teammates to innovate & improve the overall business development process
- Being the Voice of the Customer – Working internally with other departments to share feedback and raise customer stories that we can learn from
Our take
Traditional finance and internal expense processes are inefficient for companies. Spending on personal credit cards and filing receipts for reimbursement is a convoluted and complicated business practise. There needs to be a digital alternative to the historically laborious process of managing employee expenses.
Float is a fintech solution, built to simplify the inefficient internal expense processes. Rather than following the traditional method of spending on personal/corporate cards, filing expenses, and waiting for reimbursement - Float works by utilising technology that enables managers to allocate funds and approve expenses before purchases are made. The company also supports companies operating with remote workforces.
As the business world moves to become more international, companies will look to make their business spending as simple as possible. Float aims to develop its technology and cater to the challenge of company spending. It's $50 million C in credit financing will go some way to achieving its aims, all whilst expanding its business significantly.
