Who you are
- 3+ years of inside sales experience, preferably within the technology or cybersecurity industry
- Experience selling to SLED customers, with an understanding of government procurement processes and contract vehicles
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce and sales engagement platforms
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for helping public sector organizations improve their cybersecurity posture
What the job involves
- We’re growing and looking to hire an Inside Sales Representative - SLED who embodies our core values: People First, Customer Obsession, Strive for Excellence, and Integrity
- In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market
- You will play a key role in driving revenue growth by engaging with government agencies and educational institutions to promote our cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions
- Develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities within the SLED sector, targeting state and local government agencies, K-12, and higher education institutions
- Conduct outbound prospecting and cold calling to generate new leads, qualify opportunities and nurture existing relationships
- Partner with field sales representatives to develop and execute territory plans for SLED accounts
- Understand the unique procurement processes and compliance requirements within the SLED market
- Provide product demonstrations and technical overviews to key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools such as Salesforce
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and government regulations impacting cybersecurity in the SLED sector
- Work closely with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
