Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer, AEye

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, production test, or test engineering, ideally in optics, sensors, automotive electronics, or similarly complex hardware environments
• Hands-on experience with automated test systems, lab instrumentation, and production fixturing
• Strong understanding of electro-optical systems, lasers, photodetectors (including APD and SPAD), and optical fundamentals
• Experience using data analysis and statistical methods to improve yield, reliability, and test performance
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
• Willingness to support builds and issue resolution at world wide CM/EMS partner sites as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

• We are seeking a hands-on Sr Manufacturing Test Engineer to lead calibration and end-of-line (EOL) test operations for LiDAR products in a production environment
• In this role, you will support production test stations, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and partner closely with CM/EMS providers and cross-functional engineering teams to enable successful product launches and high-volume manufacturing
• This is an execution-focused position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys turning complex test requirements into reliable production processes
• Own and support calibration and end-of-line (EOL) test processes for our LiDAR systems and subassemblies
• Set up, validate, maintain, and improve production test stations, fixtures, and supporting processes
• Execute test and calibration procedures during NPI, pilot builds, and volume production
• Troubleshoot test failures and manufacturing issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Partner with CM/EMS providers and cross-functional teams including Systems, Hard-ware, Quality, Reliability, and Operations to support production readiness and ongoing manufacturing
• Drive yield improvement, test robustness, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing test operations
• Maintain test documentation, work instructions, and engineering change control records
• Participate in DFT and DFM reviews to improve manufacturability, test coverage, and product readiness
