• Fanatically iterative. You believe the best way to test whether you’ve solved a user’s problem is to quickly build something and put it in front of them. Best-case scenario: you’ve solved it! Worst-case: you make it better, or try again
• Experimental. You form opinions based on things that have actually happened (crazy!). You therefore believe doing (rather than thinking/talking/arguing) is the best means of data collection, and are willing to try new things (which may make you feel uncomfortable)
• You’re motivated by company-level impact, and are excited to do things you’ve never done before (even if you feel you’re totally unqualified to do them)
• High-initiative. When you see a problem and know you can quickly fix it, you just do it, without asking permission
• Always able to understand the bigger picture/”Why”. If/when you don’t, you’re not afraid to say so - others probably don’t either
• Good communicator - clear, concise, courteous

• Talking to the world’s top hardware engineers (our users), understanding how they work, their pains, and shipping solutions to those pains (in hours)
• Brainstorm with the team to find simpler, easier solutions to user problems
• Holistic view of the company - You’ll know our customers, how they feel about the product, how much they're paying, and what milestones they need to hit to get their product(s) to market. You’ll know what our sales pipeline looks like, and what features matter to whom in the pipeline
• Your responsibility won’t be to do tickets, but to make our customers and prospects have a great experience of working with us. That might mean building a great feature, but also supporting sales calls, fleshing out an idea with a user, or customer support
• Explain how a feature you’ve built works to a user who’s struggling with it (via Slack). If a pattern of user confusion arises, you make the feature easier to use
