Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, business fluency in both French and German, and a proactive approach to sales
- 1–3 years of experience in sales development or business development, preferably in cybersecurity or technology
- Business fluency in French and German (verbal and written) required
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (Salesforce, Salesloft/Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, Gong, etc.)
- Proactive and able to thrive both independently and within a collaborative team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales activity targets and KPIs
What the job involves
- Halcyon is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR), EMEA to join our growing sales team
- In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and generating qualified pipeline within the cybersecurity and ransomware protection space
- This role will primarily focus on France, Germany, and the broader DACH region
- Lead Generation: Prospect, identify, and qualify potential customers through inbound and outbound prospecting (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach)
- Client Engagement: Engage with decision-makers across target accounts to understand their cybersecurity needs, challenges, and ransomware-related pain points
- Sales Support: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to execute lead generation campaigns and outreach strategies
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate pipeline of prospects and manage lead data within Salesforce
- Educate & Qualify: Share Halcyon’s value proposition and qualify leads for hand-off to Account Executives
- Nurturing: Consistently follow up with leads to ensure engagement until they are ready for deeper sales conversations
- Market Intelligence: Stay current on cybersecurity trends, compliance requirements, competitive landscape, and ransomware threats to communicate value effectively
