Role
Who you are
- You have a proven experience in QA for mobile-first applications (iOS and Android), ideally in an environment with a large number of active users
- Backend testing, APIs and system architecture are areas you are knowledgeable in
- You have an expertise in using tools such as Charles, Proxyman, Crashlytics, or Datadog for instance
- You possess a hacking mindset and like to delve deep into all products you try, testing all possible scenarios, and finding new inventive ways to test out new features
- You have the ability to manage complex testing workflows and adapt strategies to meet increasing project demands
- You are fluent in French, and are comfortable working in English
What the job involves
- As part of the QA team, reporting directly to our QA Manager, you will be joining a team of 2, working on all aspects of the products, on both platforms, to ensure the robustness, reliability and overall quality of our mobile applications (iOS and Android) as well as backend features before release, but also monitor application performance and stability post-release to ensure a seamless user experience !
- As part of your job, you will be working on tools that process personal data relating to Yubo users
- As a social media platform, we require our employees to have a strong awareness and understanding of privacy issues, and in particular of children's online safety, privacy and well-being
- Every employee at Yubo is expected to participate in compliance with data protection regulations as well as the continuous improvement of our Privacy & Safety By Design measures
- As a Senior QA Analyst, you will be responsible for the entire testing lifecycle of our products, from the validation of feature requirements in collaboration with the product team, to performing end-to-end testing on iOS and Android devices, and ensuring the application remains stable post-release
- As such, you will also be heavily involved in adapting testing strategies depending on the project constraints and technical demands and prioritize testing efforts accordingly
- You will be an integral part of the knowledge sharing efforts within the team, not only through documentation, but also sharing insights on tools, processes and testing methodologies, as well as providing constructive feedback to other team members
- You will act as the main liaison between the QA team and other departments (e.g product, development, operations) to ensure smooth communication and alignment

Our take
Founded in 2015, Yubo is a social platform mostly aimed at Generation Z users. They hang out in live streaming rooms to socialise, play games and make new friends. There aren’t creators on the platform broadcasting to fans like nearly all other major social platforms; instead, the app focuses on helping users communicate naturally.
So far, the company has seen 60 million sign-ups - up from 40 million in 2020 - 99% of which are Gen Z users, ages 13 to 25. It also sees rapidly increasing revenue, more than tripling from 2019 to 2023.
Yubo has been thinking about the future of social networking for the next generation of younger users, not just from a product standpoint, but also from a safety perspective. Most recently, it has been focused on implementing unique safety features such as face-scanning age verification. These features are likely to help the company retain and protect its users, and therefore grow its user base to reach new markets and stay ahead of the competition.
