Role
Who you are
- 1+ years of UX/UI design experience specifically for eCommerce websites, with a portfolio showcasing results-driven work
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles, website design best practices, and conversion rate optimization, with the ability to translate data into design improvements
- You enjoy building, iterating, and solving problems independently in a fast-paced startup environment
- Bonus Points: Strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid) essential for Shopify development, plus familiarity with JSON templates
- Bonus Points: Proficiency in Figma, experience with page builders (GemPages, Unbounce, Shogun, Replo), and/or experience with AI-powered design tools
What the job involves
- As Shopify UX/UI Designer, you'll be a critical player in crafting Avea's digital face. This isn't just about pretty pictures; it's about building a website and user experience that converts visitors into loyal customers
- You'll be working directly with the Digital Product team to design a website that wows and sells. You’ll need a solid UX/UI foundation, but also be ready to roll up your sleeves with front-end developme
- Responsive Web Design: Develop conversion-optimized, responsive web designs for our website, enhancing the user journey
- Wireframes, Mockups, and Prototypes: Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas, optimizing for functionality and brand coherence
- Shopify Landing Pages: Independently develop and maintain new Shopify landing pages using JSON, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- A/B Testing and Data-Driven Design: Collaborate with the Growth team to develop design variations, conduct A/B tests, and implement insights for improved engagement
- Page Builders: Create, customize, and optimize landing pages using platforms like GemPages, Unbounce, Shogun, and Replo (experience is a plus, willingness to learn is essential)
- User Research Integration: Translate user insights into actionable design solutions, focusing on usability
- AI Content Generation: Use AI tools to generate website copy and source/edit images

Avea has enlisted the help of scientists and researchers that specialise in the field of longevity to produce a line of supplements that not only optimise long-term health, but also slow and even reverse certain signs of aging.
The company launched its first line of products in February 2022, since then it has gone on to launch and optimise a variety of products, with its Collagen Activator being one of its biggest successes as it is consistently in high demand. Following the conclusion of its extended seed funding round in mid-2023, Avea is investing heavily in accelerating its growth throughout Europe and the UK as well as establishing itself in the APAC region. On the subject of the latter, Avea is growing particularly popular in China, where it is securing key marketing deals.
With the global longevity market being worth $8 trillion, Avea hopes to play a significant role in the future of the industry
