What the job involves

PopReach is seeking a mobile game Senior QA Tester to test our upcoming cozy game and work with the development team to track bugs and ensure we ship a high-quality game
Thoroughly test our new products/updates currently in development while logging and tracking any bugs found
Understand the basic functionality of iOS / Android devices and troubleshoot the most common issues
Carry out technical requirements testing for both iOS and Android platforms to ensure on-time submissions
Ability to think of ‘outside of the box’ testing methods to ensure a high-quality end-user experience
Ability to write test cases based on design documents
Adapt to a fast-changing development environment and be able to multitask with several software tools daily
Provide constructive quality gameplay feedback to the development teams
Proactive and self motivated

Our take

Mobile app stores are dominated by games, with hundreds of new releases every week. Low barriers to entry combined with intense competition make it virtually impossible to predict which games will be financially successful. Ionik, formerly PopReach, is a free-to-play game publisher with a risk-mitigating strategy of acquiring proven game assets and extending their lifespans while maximizing cash flows, by delivering improved experiences for players.

By 2021, PopReach owned and operated over 25 games, including later-stage hits such as Smurfs’ Village, Kitchen Scramble, Gardens of Time, City Girl Life, War of Nations, and Kingdoms of Camelot. It was rebranded as Ionik in 2023, an umbrella entity that works as a brand advertising platform, within which PopReach operates.

Following its rebrand, Ionik is eyeing global expansion; the free-to-play market in Asia is massive but mostly untapped by Western publishers. Ionik's objective is to grow 10 percent every year through assets and at least another 30 percent per year through acquisitions by executing on M&A, and by continuing to use its data-driven approach to improve the PopReach portfolio of games.
