Role
Who you are
- Our tech stack is Typescript & React on the frontend, Rust (and some Python and Scala) for the backend, Postgres as our main database. Our software runs on Kubernetes and Azure
- You should be proficient in at least one of these technologies, preferably on Rust. The focus of this role will be backend or full-stack (with a higher component of backend)
- Just so you know - we purposefully did not create a standard list of minimum qualifications for this role. We care much more about your motivation and ability to help us accelerate technical progress than we care just about your CV
What the job involves
- We are looking for a full-time Software Engineering Intern to join one of our product teams and help us build the electronics supply chain platform
- You will be treated as a regular member of our product team and get to enjoy the full responsibility (and challenge) of shipping features end-to-end (from the first brainstorming to shipping it to production)
- Our past interns have gone on to work for large tech companies, start their own startups, or (our favorite ) join us full-time
- Please note: We only offer working student positions after you have done an internship with us for a minimum of 3 months
- Join one of our four product teams as help us regularly and reliably deliver value to our users in the electronics industry
- Gain technical expertise in the different areas of our software stack (React, Typescript, Rust, Postgres, Kubernetes)
- Be a proactive member in our retrospectives, dailies and other agile meetings and help us move forward in our development processes efficiently
- Live up to Luminovo's operating principles
- Show that you're continuously striving to learn and push yourself (and our team) by surfacing great ideas and finding ways to improve the tools and processes we use
- We don't need you to be an expert in the electronics industry today, but you have to be willing to dive into it to understand our potential customers' unique situations and how LumiQuote can create value for them

Our take
Processes for electronic manufacturing services and original equipment manufacturers have not yet caught up with the pace of technological innovation experienced in other technological fields. Luminovo believes that the speed of progress can be catalysed with its electronic operating system.
Luminovo products allow manufacturers to cut down the time and money required to take ideas through to business-ready electronic products. Among its services is LumiQuote, empowering electronic manufacturing services to gain fully transparent quotes.
Luminovo aims to continue its expansion by focusing on growing into a deep-tech company with strong roots throughout Europe. Having received funding in 2020 and 2021 and by preparing a public launch of its RfQ product, Luminovo is on the way to realising this mission.
