Role
Who you are
- Currently enrolled or graduated in an accredited Bachelor's Degree program in Graphic Design, Art, Advertising, or similar
- Able to commit to working 20 hours a week
- Basic understanding of effective creative design practices, trends, techniques, tools, and processes across various touchpoints
- Readiness to learn and use design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Google Docs, and Google Slides
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- This role is perfect for a creative, detail-oriented designer eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Marketing Creative Intern to help bring our bold, innovative brand to life through compelling storytelling. As an intern, you will be fully embedded in the creative process, with a focus on learning and growing
- You’ll work closely with the head of marketing and the lead visual designer to refine our brand presence and support various design projects, including social media content, video production, and digital campaigns. If you’re passionate about design, storytelling, and creating eye-catching visuals that push boundaries, we’d love to hear from you!
- Support our lead visual designer and deliver visually striking designs
- Soak up as much knowledge as possible while pushing creative boundaries
- Complete a summer-long project and present it to senior-level executives
- Support marketing efforts by crafting compelling messaging
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to enhance strategies
- Incorporate motion design into a variety of projects to include text animation, storyboards, and editing
- Seek out new design perspectives and bring ideas to the team
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Be solutions-oriented and supportive in finding solutions to unexpected challenges
- Receive coaching and mentorship from the lead visual designer
- Receive and apply constructive feedback

Our take
Despite $150 billion being spent on auto repair each year, the industry is fragmented. ServiceUp is making car maintenance more convenient by connecting consumers, via its app, to an expert car care advocate who manages the entire repair process.
The autotech company has plans to be an all-in-one platform for car maintenance, offering a unique model that essentially brings the ease of food delivery to the auto repair industry. Its innovative service is seeing success, notably growing its revenue by 20% month-over-month in its founding year, and has built out its repair network to over 150 auto shops across multiple US states.
Already, the market response has been strong and ServiceUp will only strengthen as it uses Series A funding to accelerate expansion into new markets, as well as investing in machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities, product and business development, and expanding field operations.
