Role
Who you are
- SoFi is seeking a self-driven Sourcer & Researcher with experience building teams for high-growth startups in a high-performance culture
- 3+ Years of proven experience as a Sourcer, preferably in high-growth startup environments
- Experience sourcing for a variety of functional areas not limited to but including, Product/Tech, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance and Creative
- Expertise in building talent pipelines and sourcing strategies
- Strong understanding of data and analytics to support talent market research
- Experience with various sourcing tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Seekout, and creative Boolean searches
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and attract passive talent
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience building and maintaining multiple active pipelines of talent across multiple functional areas
Desirable
- Experience testing new sourcing techniques, tools and approaches that drive results
- Experience implementing sourcing strategies that address both short-term and long-term hiring needs
- Knowledgeable in advanced sourcing tools and techniques utilized for recruiting top talent

- The ideal candidate will define and execute sourcing strategies, screen and present candidates, and build comprehensive talent pipelines

- Partner with recruiters on specific requisitions or groups of requisitions
- Define and execute sourcing strategies, screen candidates, and present qualified candidates to recruiters and hiring managers
- Be a trusted partner by developing relationships with your recruiting partners and hiring managers by presenting sourcing insights to ensure hiring success
- Perform target searches of direct competitors for niche senior-level roles
- Build visual representations of targeted departments and talent
- Conduct talent market research using proven data tools to pull key market insights
- Organize data to provide clear pictures of the talent pool, enabling data-driven strategies and influencing business decisions
- Take full ownership in how you achieve your top of funnel metrics, pipeline conversion percentages and hires to help the team achieve our collective hiring goal
- Build, organize, and maintain pools of niche talent into dedicated pipelines sorted and tagged by technical skills
- Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, internal ATS, and expert X-ray searching of niche sites, conference attendees, and speaker lists, etc
- Research, track, and organize real-time salary expectations of candidate pipelines through various credible sources including opportunistic conversations with talent
- Develop and define effective engagement strategies for pipelines of passive talent
- Implement strategic campaign outreach and personalized correspondence to engage potential candidates
Our take
SoFi started by offering ways for students to secure better financial terms on their loans, and now offers a huge range of personal finance products, including bank accounts, loans, mortgages, investment advice, and investment opportunities. Many customers find they have to go to multiple financial service providers to meet all their finance needs, but SoFi overcomes this issue by putting it all in one place.
Its goal, to cover all the financial bases, sets them apart from many of the traditional banks and even some of their digital competitors, such as Avant, which has chosen to focus on providing credit alternatives. Although it is operating in a competitive market with a lot of big players such as Monzo, Revolut, and Starling, the company has managed to raise huge amounts of funding to support its rapid expansion.
SoFi has focussed on global expansion, moving outside the US, and has made a series of acquisitions to support this - including a Hong Kong-based investment app called 8 Securities. After going public on the New York Stock Exchange via a SPAC merger in June 2021, the company has continued to evolve and release more mission-oriented services into its roster, and strengthened its lending capabilities through a $350 million post-IPO loan. To date, the company has sold over $15 billion in personal loan collateral and continues to strengthen its offering.
