Staff Data Engineer, Fastly

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record of delivering scalable data solutions
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, Airflow, and Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, etc.)
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and container orchestration with Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience optimizing queries and performance in platforms like BigQuery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a distributed team environment
• Demonstrated experience in technical leadership, influencing engineering best practices, and mentoring team members

• As a Staff Data Engineer, you will lead the evolution of our data infrastructure, optimizing pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), scaling ingestion of complex data sources, and establishing best practices for performance and reliability
