Who you are

5 + years professional experience with front-end javascript frameworks
5 + years professional experience with back-end javascript (node.js, express, etc)
JS Testing (Jest, Enzyme, Appium, etc)
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Mongo)
Experience building robust and performant REST APIs
Experience scaling a website and/or a mobile app to millions of users
Related industry experience, particularly social media and/or video tech
You take pride in your work
You have a strong product sense
You enjoy working with fun people
You are a doer who is comfortable with ambiguity
You love javascript, and building + scaling web applications

What the job involves

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be working across multiple technologies, our frontend (React/Redux site, React-Native app), as well as our backend (node.js) and database (mongoDB)
You will collaborate with our sales and data teams to make the talent experience fun and engaging, and help us deliver that perfect Cameo
You will be helping us improve & scale the platform that connects fans and talent to create the perfect video shoutout
You will also be helping with our website and mobile app as well

Cameo is an American video-sharing website that allows celebrities to interact with users via video. For a low price of $5 to a high fee of $3,000, customers pay Cameo for lightly scripted messages from celebrities.

They've helped create over 500,000 moments for their customers and built a marketplace for over 20,000 celebrities to connect with their biggest fans. They're breaking down the exclusivity myth of celebrity by building personal relationships between fans and talent.

Whilst Cameo has done exceptionally well over the past few years, its now starting to wane and the company has reduced the number of its staff. Cameo, however has taken action to balance the costs with its cash reserves to refocus its goals.
