Who you are

  • This position is ideal for a competitive, resilient sales professional who thrives in complex, technical sales environments and wants to make a real-world impact on emergency response and public safety
  • Competitive & Resilient – You’ve demonstrated grit in high-performance environments (e.g., start ups, team sports, endurance sports, military, or leadership under pressure)
  • Proven Sales Success – 5+ years of experience in complex, technical sales (e.g., SaaS, GovTech, Cybersecurity, Healthcare Tech, Enterprise Software)
  • Ability to Sell to Complex Stakeholders – You’ve sold to government, enterprise, or regulated industries with multiple decision-makers
  • Technical & Business Acumen – You understand SaaS solutions, cybersecurity, or AI-driven technology and can translate them into business value
  • Self-Starter in a Fast-Paced Startup – You thrive in high-growth, ambiguous environments and have a track record of exceeding sales targets

Desirable

  • Experience in public safety, GovTech, defense, or mission-driven technology
  • Experience with government procurement & RFP processes
  • Background in MEDDPICC or related sales methodology

What the job involves

  • As a 911 and/or Public Safety Account Executive, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding RapidSOS’s footprint in public safety technology
  • This is a high-impact, consultative sales role focused on working with public safety agencies, government organizations, and first responder networks
  • Own the full sales cycle – from prospecting to closing large, strategic deals
  • Develop and manage relationships with C-level leaders, procurement teams, and technology stakeholders in public safety agencies and government organizations
  • Navigate long sales cycles (6-12 months) and government procurement processes, including RFPs and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to drive adoption and tailor solutions
  • Drive market expansion and strategy, identifying new business opportunities to accelerate growth
  • Operate in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with uncapped commission potential and fast career progression

Our take

Emergency response services currently act exclusively on information provided by phone calls. Callers are usually vulnerable and panicked, and this has a negative effect on the expression of important information to phone call receivers. In addition, America's 9-1-1 system was built for landline phones, making it nearly impossible to digitally send data to first responders.

RapidSOS builds tools that provide caller data to emergency services to help them assess situations and make decisions faster. The startup utilizes data from mobile devices, smart devices and security systems to gain valuable insights into users' location, medical history and more. This helps produce a general profile on a caller ID, providing valuable contextual information in emergency situations.

The company has raised substantial funding, the latest of which will help it expand operations and its development efforts. It continues to release new features and products, such as the first AI co-pilot for 911, and an intelligent safety platform for emergency responders. This demonstrates RapidSOS's commitment to further improving the value it supplies to its users.
