Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of experience in motion design with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of animation styles and editing techniques
- 2+ years of experience managing team members
- Proven experience in Motion Design, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, and other motion design software
- Proficiency in Adobe CC
- Strong understanding of animation principles and visual effects
- Proven proficiency in Figma or similar software
- Proven experience leading creative projects and managing a team of designers
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Understanding of brand guidelines and the ability to maintain brand consistency across all motion graphics
- Familiarity with performance marketing and user acquisition (UA) creatives
- Expert knowledge of performance marketing channels such as Meta, TikTok, YT, Google, Reddit, etc
Desirable
- Experience in the tech or digital marketing industry
- Experience in the femtech, health and wellbeing sector
- Cinema 4D. 3D experience is not a must-have but a big plus
- Familiarity with app store optimization (ASO) creatives
- Familiarity with CRM
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly talented Motion Design Lead to join our dynamic Creative Studio team. As part of a collaborative team of 16, you will work closely with our Brand, Marketing, and Growth teams to create compelling motion graphics that captivate our audience and drive engagement
- This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious motion designer to significantly impact our brand's visual storytelling and marketing efforts
- Develop and oversee the creation of high-quality motion graphics for various marketing channels, including social media, web, and video
- Collaborate with creative producers, copywriters, and graphic designers to produce cohesive and engaging visual content
- Lead brainstorming sessions and provide creative direction to ensure innovative and effective motion design solutions
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
- Stay current with industry trends and integrate best practices into the motion design workflow
- Mentor junior motion designers and provide constructive feedback to foster their professional growth
- Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the motion design process
- Enhance the visual storytelling of our brand, driving higher engagement and conversion rates
- Support the achievement of ambitious company revenue targets through compelling and innovative motion design
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the team and across the organisation
- Actively share knowledge and expertise, contributing to the team's overall success

Flo is an AI powered period tracking app that allows users to access health insights relating to their cycle by inputting experienced symptoms and cycle dates. AI is leveraged to improve the personalised predictions of upcoming symptoms or periods, allowing the platform to help predict irregular periods or highlight fertile periods in your cycle. They state that the app can also flag when symptoms might need medical attention.
What sets Flo apart from its competitors (Clue, Ovia, Glow) is its ability to change from a period tracker to a fertility tracker, and it can even offer valuable insights postpartum. The app is the number 1 period tracker in the UK and US and the most downloaded female health app worldwide, with over 70 million monthly users. And in the wake of the Supreme Court's 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Flo has responded to its users' concerns by implementing an anonymous mode to prevent personal details from being linked to fertility data.
Historically, it has proved difficult for companies to get funding for products aimed at women. Flo has largely overcome this and secured significant investment through its funding rounds. This will allow the company to focus on implementing proactive care solutions in the app, amongst other developments, to evolve the service offered.
