Role
Who you are
- 5 years of software development
- 3 years TypeScript/React
- Strong understanding of React fundamentals, including component lifecycle, state management, and hooks
- Solid grasp of modern TypeScript features and best practices
- Ability to write semantic HTML and responsive, maintainable CSS
- Understanding of techniques to optimize application performance and load times
- Experience with NX Monorepo, Webpack and Yarn
Desirable
- Experience with the Material UI (MUI) component library
- Experience with Jest testing framework
- Experience in FinTech, economics, or private equity
What the job involves
- As a Front-End engineer, you will focus on delivering new features and help maintain our software
- You will work closely together with Product and Design to strike an optimal balance between well designed and maintainable components, align with our Back-End engineers on API requirements and collaborate with other Front-End engineers in order to maintain a healthy codebase
- We are a lean team of senior engineers (Back-End, Front-End, Data, DevOps and ML) and a handful of colleagues in Product and Design
- Together we operate in an efficient and pragmatic way, where everyone’s voice is heard
- Apart from a short daily stand-up, we aim keep meetings to a minimum
- Team events are held on a monthly basis to foster collaboration, enhance communication, and boost morale

Gain is seeing good results, too. It’s secured a spread of blue-chip clientele including Bain, McKinsey, Rothschild, and Perella Weinberg, demonstrating a strong product with high growth potential. Plus, with plenty of funding under its belt, it’s on solid footing to find future success.
