Who you are
- A successful candidate will be a forward-thinking and hyper-collaborative teammate
- 6+ years of progressive experience in event marketing and/or experiential marketing (including virtual event experience)
- Experience in a high growth SaaS Environment is preferred
- Experience crafting and producing branded experiential activations that have driven measurable earned media attention and buzz
- B2B event management experience leading proprietary, 3rd party industry or executive events
- Strong organizational and project management skills to effectively lead multiple partners and projects with tight deadlines
- Extensive and successful experience with celebrity/VIP management
- Success in developing strong internal and external relationships
- Fluency in recent news, cultural trends, and policy changes and able to translate that knowledge into concrete strategic actions
- Strong imagination, instincts and judgment in transforming complex topics and information into captivating, relevant content
- Proven acuity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and continuously adapt to new challenges and dynamic priorities, while maintaining professional grace and a sense of humor
- Strong technical knowledge of a broad range virtual event platforms, virtual event production approaches and modern marketing automation, analytics and technology
- Exceptional client and vendor management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent technical skills – MS Office (specifically advanced Excel and PowerPoint), virtual event platforms (Hopin, Zoom, others) and integrations to track lead generation (Salesforce.com, HubSpot) and Google Suite
What the job involves
- Initially reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Experiential Marketing Lead will expand and elevate our experiential marketing function and provide creative and operational support
- Working cross-functionally with our marketing and sales teams, this person will define and implement short and long-term strategies for partner events, VIP/influencer engagements, sponsorships, and experiential marketing
- This role is paramount in realizing our ambitious brand elevation and revenue generation strategy for 2026 and beyond
- You will partner with colleagues within our commercial organization to cultivate opportunities to engage and inspire key audiences, including prospects, clients, advisors, and employees
- Conceptualize, plan, and develop a comprehensive experiential marketing strategy, working with senior leadership to address our goals and growth plans across specific audiences and industry segments
- Bring “uniquely Candid experiences” and activation events virtually and in-person to life
- Provide vision and direction on programming, including creative direction, format, content strategy, speaker preparation, and plan for pre/post-event engagement
- Communicate and build relationships with VIP/C-suite speakers and event attendees
- Lead the team to source and manage event logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiation, speaker recruitment, vendor management, branding, event production, and programming for events of up to 500 attendees
- Build experiential marketing operations function, driving team efficiency and alignment to Key Performance Indicators
- Establish plans and budget expectations
- Collaborate with key partners to ensure events accomplish shared goals of building and accelerating pipeline, deal progress, existing customer share expansion, and community building
- Maintain groundbreaking knowledge and insights into the industry and competition to continuously identify potential partnerships and new opportunities
- Cultivate and maintain Candid Health’s brand and voice through all activations and events
Our take
Healthcare spending in the US medical system has been ballooning for decades. Administration contributes a substantial portion to this, constituting almost three times what other developed countries spend proportionate to their healthcare budget - and taking up valuable physician hours. The detrimental impact this has on the quality and affordability of care has meant solutions are becoming urgent, and Candid Health is contributing a strong one.
The data and AI-driven platform helps healthcare providers automate the process of submitting, chasing, and appealing insurance claims. It’s regularly audited by HIPAA, helping the company dodge the tightening data protection net that’s stunted the progress of some medtech startups. Having passed this obstacle the company is running at modest capacity - the challenge now is to lock in a broader client base, which could prove challenging.
Companies like Change Healthcare and Flobotics, for example, offer automated claims submissions as part of a broader robotic process automation service for medical institutions. It may be that this holistic administrative software proves more attractive for overburdened providers. For now, however, Candid Health is gaining a respectable amount of traction and enjoyed a funding round of $29 million in 2024.
