Role
Who you are
- BS / BA degree and a MINIMUM of 5+ years in Marketing or similar business content writing experience
- Experience in the payments or fintech industry is strongly preferred
- Exceptional writing skills are required. Examples will be requested
- Proven track record of creating and managing successful content marketing strategies
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to take a complex product and communicate it to technical and non-tech audiences
- Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional and virtual teams, and third parties
- Passionate about the payments industry and desire to be on the cutting edge of payments thought leadership
- Experience with SEO and keyword research preferred
What the job involves
- Create original, high-quality content including blogs, case studies, articles, videos, infographics, one-pagers, sales enablement materials and more
- Create messaging and positioning that differentiates our products and resonates with our target customers, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
- Research and understand the evolving payments ecosystem and be on the forefront of creating compelling thought leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with company goals and target audience needs
- Serve as the lead writer and editor for all VGS marketing content
- Manage a public content calendar to ensure timely and consistent delivery of content
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce engaging content
- Set measurable goals and KPIs to track the effectiveness of content initiatives
- Optimize content for search engines to increase organic traffic and visibility
- Utilize analytics tools to measure content performance and make data-driven decisions
- Track and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
- Continuously update, optimize and manage the VGS website
- Work closely with design and marketing ops to create complementary visuals for content, proper web and mobile rendering, and bring various content deliverables to successful completion

VGS has already attracted significant investment as well as an impressive set of customers (including Brex and Deliveroo). With more companies looking for tailored solutions as they transition to the cloud, VGS is developing several new capabilities to further automate compliance controls for customers on its platform.
