Who you are
- Experience working on consumer facing technology
- 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, business strategy or analytics
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills; proficiency with SQL or other analytical tools
- Experience in pricing, marketing, or customer analytics
- Experience in financial planning & forecasting & modelling and creating data-driven analysis
- Experience in monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
- Strong understanding of unit economics, cohort analysis, and financial KPIs
What the job involves
- As Financial Analyst, you’ll focus on analyzing the key drivers of US Mobile’s business, from pricing and promotions to churn, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value
- You’ll turn financial and operational data into insights that help optimize growth and profitability
- You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure leadership has clear visibility into the performance of core initiatives
- Analyze customer and revenue metrics, including ARPU, cohort, churn, CAC, and LTV, to identify trends and performance drivers
- Lead pricing and promotional analysis for both existing and new business initiatives, assessing how changes affect customer acquisition, retention, margins, and overall financial performance
- Conduct deep dives on variances and partner with cross-functional teams to explain performance
- Update and maintain elements of the financial model to reflect current business assumptions and data inputs
- Present clear, data-backed analyses and recommendations that inform strategic and operational decisions
- Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports, variance analyses, and reforecast updates in coordination with the Finance Manager
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards and recurring reports that make business performance clear and actionable
- Identify trends, anomalies, and key drivers behind performance changes, providing timely insights to leadership
Our take
4G networks transformed our internet experience with faster speeds and better connectivity, and 5G is now taking this further with even quicker speeds. Although 5G is becoming more common, it remains relatively new and not universally available. Networks offering 5G can be costly and might not always match the features of 4G networks.
US Mobile provides 5G mobile data connectivity in the US, claiming to reach speeds of up to 3GB p/s through eSIMs that can be activated remotely. The company offers a range of plans from cheap "talk and text" to unlimited data packages, the latter of which comes with a variety of perks such as free streaming service subscriptions and free international calls.
Whilst the company will face competition from the growing number of 5G network providers, US Mobile stands out by focusing on providing access to all, from unlimited family 3GB p/s packages to individual basic text and call SIMs. The company also guarantees full US coverage, in addition to providing various group pool packages for families and businesses - features which should see it remain a strong option in the market.
