Who you are
- Experience working across multiple engineering teams to deliver projects
- Technical excellence in one area of Machine Learning
- Ability to think through problems end to end, including data, infrastructure, research, monitoring and inference considerations
- Possess professional working experience with LLMs, RAG, BERT based models
- A track record of developing high-quality, maintainable code
- Prior experience with transfer learning and finetuning

What the job involves
- We currently have three types of ML systems running in production, an entity classification system, a Custom Reports Generator and a set of Summarization models
- Our entity classification has been in production for 4 years and currently processes data asynchronously with a combination of models
- Lead the rebuild, scaling and innovation of many org wide initiatives
- Scale our inference and training pipelines to finetune and serve higher volumes of customers
- Build with a customer focus in mind
- Improve extraction and summarization techniques across multiple modalities
- Collaborate with other senior engineers to integrate the ML system into the broader Wisedocs platform
- Designing and implementing machine learning models to analyse and interpret large datasets of medical and insurance documents
- Developing robust, scalable APIs in Python
- Collaborating with other technical stakeholders and leaders to actively work towards the design and implementation of systems
- Ensuring the reliability and scalability of ML systems, implementing best practices in data engineering and model lifecycle management
- Work with our human in the loop teams to build industry leading evaluations
- Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as projects develop, adjust and mature

Its automated processing software tackles this head-on, aiming to contribute to better overall healthcare by freeing up valuable manpower and time currently spent on paperwork.
Wisedocs has successfully developed an AI-powered solution that demonstrably outperforms traditional methods of handling unstructured medical documents. Hence, the company streamlines the process of clinician notes, medical briefs, records, assessments, and discharge summaries.
Backed by prominent investors, Wisedocs successfully launched in the US in 2022, followed by the opening of a new American headquarters to support its growing US customer base. This was followed by further funding in 2024. It believes its product can significantly reshape the American healthcare and insurance landscape, where streamlining paperwork and unlocking critical data are major concerns.
