Who you are
- Operational chops, you’re excited to automate how you manage your accounts so you can create impact at scale
- You have experience in insurance sales with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear and concise manner
What the job involves
- The Channel Account Manager will be responsible for playing a key role in helping the Obie Channel Partner team reach its revenue and growth goals through strategic account management and optimization of Obie’s top tier partnerships
- You will be responsible for ongoing relationship management of a portfolio of key accounts (30-50) focused on driving revenue growth for Obie and value for partners
- Perform weekly/monthly/quarterly business reporting and review with external partners
- Work cross-functionally across Operations, Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering to get larger-scale value-add initiatives implemented
- Build internal and external business cases to secure resources to meet growth objectives
- Strategize with existing partners to develop out of the box ideas to activate marketing initiatives and maximize sales

- 1. Meet us and learn about Obie
- You'll first talk to Mary on a 30-minute call; you won't need to prepare anything in advance. The goal of this conversation is to get to know you and mutually explore if we might be a good fit for each other. You'll learn more about Obie and have a chance to ask any questions about our company, team, culture, and product
- 2. Meet the hiring manager
- You'll get to have a 45-minute video interview with the hiring manager, Lauren McKinzie. This discussion will be more technical in nature to ensure you have the skills needed to be successful in the role
- 3. Project exercise
- This role requires strong planning, collaboration, and communication skills, so we'll also present you with a short, role play exercise to complete via video call with members of the Partnerships team to provide you a chance to flex those muscles. You’ll be the Strategic Account Manager and the Obie Team will be the representatives at a new partner, Five Star Property Management. The goal of this role-play exercise is to simulate a first strategy call aimed at fostering the growth of the partnership
- 4. Meet the team
- Since you'll be joining a close-knit team, we'll ask you to meet other people in the company so we get to know each other a bit better
