Who you are
- The ideal candidate has a strong local network of industry contacts and can identify opportunities and craft innovative partnership proposals for advertisers
- At least 7+ years working in a sales role, within media/marketing
- A strong network within media and marketing teams and senior leadership from studios, streamers, and media agencies
- Hands-on sales with a clear bias to action and a closer mentality
- An intuitive relationship builder, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Entrepreneurial drive, ambition, and ownership to build and grow our local revenue
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts, sales pipelines, and deadlines effectively

What the job involves
- We are looking for an entrepreneurial and driven Director, Sales - Native Advertising in Los Angeles or New York to lead our local on-platform native advertising media sales operations and establish JustWatch with studios, streaming services, and media agencies
- We need a proactive and resilient sales lead with a proven track record in closing within the entertainment industry
- Use your network to establish JustWatch as the go-to native advertising partner for studios, streamers, and media agencies
- Drive revenue by personally pitching and closing deals while achieving and exceeding ambitious sales targets
- Build and negotiate long-term media partnership agreements with new and established clients
- Collaborate with the native advertising campaigns team to develop tailored proposals that align seamlessly with client objectives, our product, and the overall user experience
- Attend local industry events to strengthen the local JustWatch brand presence
Our take
For years, JustWatch served as a global streaming guide, simplifying the search for shows across platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. On top of this, it leveraged user data to run targeted movie marketing campaigns.
However, in the 2020s, JustWatch introduces a significant upgrade. Following in the footsteps of Plex and Reelgood, users can now seamlessly search, access, and receive recommendations from all their streaming services within a single app.
Remarkably, despite minimal external funding since its 2014 inception, JustWatch has expanded into approximately 60 markets with a team exceeding a hundred members. As the streaming services market becomes increasingly diverse and fragmented, JustWatch finds itself in a promising position to capitalize on these developments.
