Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience designing and shipping consumer products across platforms, including app and web products. Experience working on native apps preferred
- Relevant experience designing customer-facing products in eCommerce or multi-sided marketplaces
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and at times scrappy environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly and concisely
- Strong visual and typographic sensibility and the ability to tackle complex user flows and propose efficient solutions
- Proficiency in Figma and other supporting interaction design tools
- You approach design with a positive mindset, always pursuing excellence with both customers and the business in mind
- You make design decisions informed by data, insights, and intuition
- You engage in divergent thinking, exploring a wide range of designs before proposing a solution
- You think in terms of design systems and contribute to evolving existing systems
- You take pride in your craft and strive to achieve a high level of refinement in your designs
- You’re self-motivated, able to juggle multiple projects, and ready to tackle any challenge that comes your way

What the job involves
- Wonder is looking for a Product Designer on the Growth Product team to build best-in-class product experiences for our Wonder customers
- The Growth Product team owns all of Wonder’s customer experiences, including the app, website, and in-store ordering technology, and sits within Wonder’s Growth Department. We are a cross-functional team of product managers, product designers, and product analysts
- Own the design of end-to-end user experiences that integrate user research, customer feedback and performance data
- Develop high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and comprehensive design artifacts that align with product requirements and ensure seamless developer handoff
- Conduct usability testing to validate designs and incorporate feedback
- Collaborate closely with product managers, analysts, engineers, creatives and growth team stakeholders to design features that drive top-line growth and improve key metrics
- Partner with Product Managers to ensure the app, website, and other customer touchpoints are optimized for conversion and engagement

Our take
Food delivered to your door often gets cold and soggy as it travels in a courier's bag from restaurant to home. Using Wonder, customers order food from a mobile app, which is cooked in a truck right outside your door. Their aim is to improve the standard of home-delivered food, both the quality of product – working with world renowned chefs – and the experience itself.
Wonder has received fair criticism surrounding poor environmental consideration, as each kitchen/van sits idle with the engine running whilst food is prepared. A study by the US Department of Energy found that banning the unnecessary idling of personal vehicles would be the same as taking 5 million vehicles off the roads.
In spite of this, Wonder has sustainability strategies involving food sourcing, reducing food waste, sustainable packaging, and, notably, an emissions-neutral fleet. Wonder has received enormous funding bringing it to a valuation of $3.5 billion, and the number of vans distributed across North America is expected to multiply exponentially.
