Role

Who you are

  • You have 5+ years of experience in Product Design (UX/UI), ideally within the Fintech, B2C, or B2B space
  • Problem-Solving Portfolio: Examples showcasing web or mobile SaaS where you solved complex design challenges and created user-friendly, delightful experiences. We'd love to see the work you’re most proud of - demonstrating your passion for detail, interaction & UI design skills
  • Collaborative at your core: You have a proven track record of successful collaboration with developers, product managers, and other designers on building products and services with intricate requirements. You share early and often, and involve the right people at the right times
  • A visual eye: You possess a strong sense of visual design, with an eye for layout, visual impact, motion on a page, color, typography, and iconography
  • Excellent judgment: You’re able to make well-informed decisions and know when to go fast or slow down
  • Strategic Design Thinking: You bring together product sense, design thinking, and pragmatism to identify the most efficient path toward the desired outcomes
  • An effective communicator (be it spoken, written, visual, or dance - that’s up to you) who can persuade and excite others around design concepts
  • Open to Diverse Perspectives: You have strong opinions, loosely held. You present your ideas clearly and concisely while welcoming constructive feedback, and are open to and value a variety of viewpoints backed by data and experience
  • Self-Starter: You're an entrepreneurial and resourceful individual who takes initiative to contribute to team and company goals without needing constant direction
  • Proactive Learning: You actively seek feedback and maintain a curious nature, striving to create an unparalleled user experience and continue to upskill yourself

Desirable

  • 0-1 experience from another FinTech startup

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to primarily be working on net-new work for Wayflyer, focusing on what the future of our product could look and feel like for our customers
  • This means that you would need to be comfortable working in ambiguity, solving problems on the fly, working at significant pace and being able to utilise exemplary UI skills
  • You would be working with a small, focused team with a very high quality bar
  • The potential for you to make real impact for users and the business is huge
  • We are looking for a designer that cares just as much about how something feels as to how it looks, with both of those playing a critical part in creating a cohesive, high-quality customer experience
  • We are looking for a designer that pays attention to the tiny details & appreciates that moments of delight can create a strong affinity between customer & brand, helping to build trust and engagement
  • This role would not suit a designer that is used to working on iterative features or smaller parts of an overall experience

Our take

Wayflyer's mission is to help emerging eCommerce stores across the globe to reach their potential. It does this by providing finance as well as marketing insights to help companies maximise the success of their online marketing campaigns.

Businesses can let Wayflyer's platform know how much funding they need, and receive up to three offers in a matter of hours. Simultaneously, Wayflyer's free analytics service constantly analyses their digital marketing campaigns, helping them adjust their marketing allowances in order to boost sales.

As well as increasing sales, Wayflyer simplifies the process with a single, no interest fixed fee, fast access to funds, and access to one-off deals. It does this all without taking equity stakes or warrants, allowing businesses to keep full ownership while focusing on growth.

This novel approach has led to Wayflyer working with some of the leading advertising tools, including Facebook Ads, Shopify, and Google Analytics, providing seamless integrations to its merchants. It is also an exceptionally well-funded company, with its latest $1 billion raise cited to support its next phase of growth.
