HR Operations Lead, Smartly.io

• 8+ years of experience in HR or related HR roles with 3+ years in management
• Worked in global organizations and have experience coordinating with teams across multiple time zones
• Proven experience managing HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll, and benefits administration
• Strong knowledge Workday and advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Strong familiarity with employment laws and compliance requirements across multiple regions
• Demonstrated ability to analyze HR data, create dashboards, and generate insights to inform decision-making
• Strong project management skills with experience driving process improvements and automation
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

• In this role, you'll lead HR operations globally and manage a team reporting into the Global Director of Human Resources
• Your mission will be to streamline HR processes, ensure compliance and data integrity, and enhance the Smartly employee experience worldwide - all while maintaining our culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth
• Lead and develop a high-performing HR Operations team to deliver best-in-class service across multiple regions
• Own and continuously enhance core HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, LOA, and benefits administration, driving efficiency and improving employee experience
• Ensure data integrity and maintain compliance with global labor laws and regulations, implementing governance frameworks to mitigate risks
• Design and implement automated workflows and AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and scale HR processes effectively
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Business Partners, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to align processes with strategic business goals
• Drive the design and improvement of HR workflows that reflect Smartly’s collaborative, growth-focused culture
• Develop clear, consistent employee support frameworks to improve communication on HR policies, processes, and programs
• Lead internal audits, manage employee records, and establish proactive risk mitigation strategies
• Develop and manage organizational reporting, leveraging key people metrics to inform strategic decisions and track OKRs
• Implement global mobility and oversee global work visa processes; partner with legal teams, immigration vendors, and leadership to support employee movement while ensuring compliance
