Role

Who you are

  • Strong knowledge of TMSs, experience with Kyriba is highly desirable (candidates with a very strong profile in other similar TMSs will be considered)
  • Experienced in finance transformation projects/ programmes where you are implementing systems and improving processes through process re-engineering
  • Understanding of ITGCs, including how to set these up in Kyriba and provide evidence of their effectiveness
  • Experience working in a corporate Treasury function is desirable
  • Understanding of best practice treasury processes with a focus on payments processing
  • Strong experience in educating stakeholders regarding treasury related processes and how they translate to wider business impacts
  • Able to define strategic banking requirements as they relate to merchant, funding and operational payments with strong experience in ISO20022 formats
  • Able to act as a deputy project manager
  • Good understanding of systems, banking and integration approaches
  • Able to communicate to senior stakeholders and team members to identify issues and propose solutions
  • Able to identify problems, define the root cause, determine the solution and propose the solution
  • Able to translate technical expertise into solutions and process guidance to implement improvements or address user issues
  • Able to map processes, outlining risks and controls
  • Previous corporate experience in a Treasury department or/and Treasury system vendor or consultancy is nice to have for this role
  • Flexibility in working patterns and projects is desired based on business needs (No day will be the same)
  • Experience in any other platforms such as SWIFT, ERP’s etc will be useful to showcase

What the job involves

  • This role will sit in the Finance Transformation Team, reporting to the Finance Transformation Manager/ Senior Manager, Treasury The purpose of this team is to enable the Finance and Treasury Teams to deliver on Checkout.com’s objectives through system implementations, process re-engineering (covering controls and risk management) and operating model design
  • As part of this team, you will be focused on working with the Treasury Team to manage and enhance our Treasury Management System (TMS), Kyriba
  • We are also embarking on a programme of work that will transform our back office Finance and Treasury systems
  • You will support the team to deliver on the Treasury aspects of this programme
  • End to end support and maintenance of our TMS (Kyriba), including leading the implementation with our implementation partner as well as building/ enhancing our BAU processes and controls
  • Effectively partner with Treasury and Finance teams to ensure the TMS and surrounding BAU processes are developed and optimised for functionality, reporting, audit and control requirements
  • Manage and own support tickets for Treasury system issues internally and externally
  • Assist the delivery roadmap for Kyriba, identify automation/BAU problems that need solving and influence broader Finance teams to remove any roadblocks towards delivering against the roadmap
  • Assist with project plans, RAID logs, RACIs and reporting on progress to governance forums
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining IT General Controls (ITGC’s) across Kyriba to ensure a robust control environment across our critical business system
  • Liaise with the auditors to ensure effective and timely delivery of the audit evidence/support during year-end audits
  • Managing BAU responsibilities, including prioritisation and handling of BAU activity and KPI monitoring eg. such as setting up new bank accounts in a timely manner & payment statuses
