Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems engineering and SaaS operations
- Strong experience with identity, SSO, and provisioning workflows (Microsoft Entra, SCIM, SAML)
- Knowledge of email security and authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MTA-STS, BIMI)
- Proficiency using Jamf for MDM/endpoint management
- Ability to automate workflows using Python, APIs, or low/no-code automation tools (e.g. Zapier)
- Practical experience administering Microsoft 365, Slack, and Jira/Confluence in a production environment
- Experience supporting AI copilots or LLM-powered internal tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor)
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a service-oriented mindset
What the job involves
- We are looking for a systems-minded builder who can elevate Hi Marley’s internal technology stack - driving operational excellence, automation, and security across our SaaS ecosystem
- This role will help shape the infrastructure, controls, and AI-enabled workflows that power a modern, resilient, and compliant enterprise
- Identity, Access & Lifecycle Automation: Implement group-based access control in our IDP, SCIM provisioning, and automated onboarding/offboarding workflows integrated with our HRIS and internal ticketing system
- IT Service Management & Request Portal Modernization: Build and maintain a modern JSM request portal with structured forms, approvals, and embedded knowledge articles to reduce email-based IT intake
- Endpoint & Device Management: Develop and maintain macOS MDM baselines, enforce security controls, support zero-touch deployment, and manage device lifecycle operations
- Automation, Integrations & Internal Tooling: Automate high-volume IT and People Ops workflows using scripts, APIs, and low-code tools; improve self-service and reduce manual provisioning
- Email & Internet Security Support: Maintain SPF/DKIM/DMARC configurations, tune Exchange Online and email security policies, and support secure routing and deliverability improvements
- SaaS Administration & Governance: Administer core platforms (Microsoft 365/Entra, Slack, Jira/Confluence, Zoom, Salesforce) and implement lightweight governance for roles, permissions, and configuration consistency
- AI Productivity Enablement: Support the rollout of secure internal AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor), configure safe access workflows, and help pilot automation use cases
- Responsibilities may evolve over time, and additional tasks may be assigned as new systems, workflows, and technologies are introduced

The insurance industry can be notoriously frustrating for policyholders during the claims process, with a reported 40% of people considering a switch of insurers following a claim. This is the outcome that Hi Marley wants to help carriers avoid.
The company uses an AI-enabled communication platform designed to allow insurance carriers and their partners to talk to policyholders in real time via simple text messaging. This ultimately gives carriers more opportunities to satisfy and retain their customers.
Hi Marley has enjoyed rapid in recent years, with a quadrupling of its user base. It has also more than doubled the number of carriers using its platform, which now include the likes of American Family, MetLife, Auto-Owners, Erie, and MAPFRE. Improvements such as the addition of a suite of collaborative tools to its platform seem likely to help it maintain its edge in the market.
