Who you are
- You should be excited about working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse range of agency and brand prospects

- At least 3 years of SaaS closing experience, with at least 1 year of experience selling into the UK market
- Experience in a full-cycle sales role, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing opportunities

- Natural relationship builder who is personable, patient and dependable—you enjoy working with prospects, and they enjoy working with you
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – you are comfortable leveraging email, phone, text, and social media to engage with prospective customers, as well as confident when presenting to large teams and groups
- Dedicated to understanding the challenges our customers are facing and identifying solutions that Muck Rack can provide
- Familiar with the tools we use, including Google Drive, Salesforce, Slack, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong.io, CPQ system, and Guru willing to invest time in learning our tech stack to enable your own productivity and resourcefulness
- Willingness to attend select eastern hour meetings
What the job involves
- We’re growing quickly, and we’re looking for a confident and driven Account Executive, UK to join our team and introduce new prospects to Muck Rack, win new business, and contribute to our growth
- As an Account Executive, UK, you will be focused on winning new customers across various segments within the UK Market
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our UK-based sales leads
- Consistently achieve sales goals and meet activity quota requirements
- Respond to inbound demo requests and proactively prospect new business opportunities
- Deliver engaging and informative demonstrations of Muck Rack’s platform in meetings, on calls, and at various events
- Represent Muck Rack at in-person events and networking opportunities, building valuable relationships and expanding our market presence
- Negotiate contracts and close deals

Our take
Muck Rack was founded in 2009 as a platform for businesses to connect with journalists. As of 2022, tens of thousands of journalists have profiles on Muck Rack that are available for businesses such as Google, Pfizer, and Duolingo to browse and employ writers from.
The nature of journalism has evolved since Muck Rack’s founding, with social media and digital outlets taking demand away from printed publications. As the landscape changes, Muck Rack has expanded their services to include a Public Relations Management platform.
It’s moves like this, as well as their shift into being a “distributed” business (hybrid or remote) that has ignited a renewed confidence in Muck Rack from investors. Though the company has been bootstrapped since its founding, Muck Rack received its first outside funding to the sum of $180 million in 2022, exemplifying how important investors deem their platform to be.
