Role
Who you are
- You have Legal qualification, legal degree (UK or US) or equivalent and sound understanding of legal principles
- You are fluent in written and spoken English (German / European languages would be desirable)
- You have at least 1-2 year’s previous paralegal experience (in the tech or health sector would be desirable but not required)
- You have previous corporate transaction or healthcare experience would be beneficial
- You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills required and ability to work across multi-functional teams
- You are able to demonstrate strong organisational skills and problem solving
- You have previous commercial contracts and / or contracts policy experience would be desirable
What the job involves
- It is currently a Fixed Term Contract for 9 months, with the possibility of extension
- Reporting into the Head of Legal, this Paralegal role would suit an ambitious self starter looking to take on responsibility and new challenges in a rapidly growing scale up environment
- You’ll be providing support to the Head of Legal in a newly established legal function as well as key stakeholders across a wide range of teams in the business
- Draft, review and manage NDAs, vendor agreements and other standard contracts
- Assist on drafting contracts policies / guardrails including managing a contract repository to track deadlines and renewals
- Assist international expansion team on interpreting legal advice / regulations and new market due diligence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, HR) on legal-related projects
- Liaise with external Co-Sec UK/ US including filings and take on Co-Sec responsibilities
- Manage insurance policies and renewals with external brokers / providers
- Assist in creating or delivering training materials on legal / regulatory topics
- Support the implementation and maintenance of company policies, including data privacy and advertising compliance
- Horizon scanning on changes in laws / regulations affecting the Company
- Manage the legal inbox, triage queries and escalate urgent issues to the Head of Legal
- Liaise with external counsel and track progress for advice (including fee quotes and WIP)
- Managing corporate documentation and coordination
