Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of experience in software development
5+ years of experience in SaaS architecture
Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong internet and internal networking experience
Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and SaaS component services
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

What the job involves

Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and secure wealth management SaaS products by providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering and product teams
Draft and champion strong architectural practices; use them to ensure technical strategic alignment with business objectives as well as to mentor and train engineers and SaaS architects
Identify structural or organizational blockers and technical debt in order to propose and drive solutions
Define technology roadmaps and architectural standards; drive adoption across Addepar
Design and architect our SaaS applications as part of Addepar R&D
Proactively identify, prioritize and propose remediation for tech debt
Mentor and guide software engineers and architects on best practices
Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and frameworks
Ensure the security, scalability and efficiency of our SaaS solutions
Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders
Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

The platform aggregates portfolio, market, and client data in one place, allowing financial professionals to analyse and visualise the data they need.

Addepar currently tracks around $6 trillion of assets serving over 800 clients, including individual advisers, family offices, and large institutions such as AllianceBernstein, Bartlett Wealth Management, and Morgan Stanley.

The multi-unicorn company has been pursuing global expansion, opening its first office outside of the United States in Scotland in 2021 and a new London office in late 2022. It appointed new leadership members from companies like Oracle and Amazon Web Services. A Series G investment in 2025 will further accelerate its momentum as it continues to innovate its suite of solutions.
