Who you are
- Software engineering degree or equivalent educational or professional experience
- Hands-on coding experience using TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, APIs, webhooks, and SQL
- Familiarity with generative AI technologies including models like GPT-4, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning
- Knowledge of vector databases and data embeddings
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal in English)
- Result-oriented work style; ability to get things done and a learning mindset

What the job involves
- The Knowledge Ops team at DevRev is responsible for the knowledge base that powers internal and external search agents
- We coordinate both the inputs contributed by various organizations and the outputs generated from the KB on a variety of surfaces
- Your mission is to systematically help Knowledge Ops and associated teams find value with DevRev by developing a thorough understanding of their needs, owning the coordination between internal and external stakeholders, and engineering the solution to get the job done
- You are a product expert and will use your application development, and AI/ML skills to ensure that internal DevRev teams get the most out of the DevRev platform
- As an Applied AI engineering Intern at DevRev, you will work closely with our Knowledge Ops team by developing solutions over the core platform via applications written in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, and other languages
- You will be expected to employ your creativity and expertise to ideate and shape how AI, analytics, and workflows are used in DevRev’s knowledge management processes
- Designing, developing, and implementing integrations, automations, and customizations to enable Knowledge Ops to effectively run on DevRev
- Utilize AI in novel ways to solve Knowledge Ops problems, including generative AI techniques like prompt engineering for foundation LLMs to enable great AI agent experience
- Fine-tuning the semantic search engine for better search accuracy
- Conducting data analysis, writing SQL queries, and building dashboards to share insights and drive decision-making
- Proactively communicating to all key stakeholders including Knowledge Ops, Engineering, Product, Customer Success & Support, and Education
- Learning new tools and guiding internal stakeholders/customers through critical workflows
- Developing best practices that may be shared with customers

DevRev helps developers build better products for customers through a platform that connects them to the revenue their applications generate. Their headless, dev-centric CRM hopes to help developers clock technical issues faster by showing more directly how customers use their products.
When the company emerged from stealth mode in 2021, they were already well backed by considerable funding and a highly experienced leadership team. Collating and usefully displaying customer feedback for developers, especially using AI and machine learning, is a tough nut to crack. So the DevRev has been savvy in front-loading talent and investment.
The founders’ previous venture Nutanix saw huge success, reaching Unicorn status before going public in 2016. DevRev and its team reached the same in 2024 off the back of Series A funding. This ambitious startup has already delivered the first iteration of what it hopes will become the largest global developer relations product.
