What the job involves
- Here at Ecologi, we believe our people are our greatest asset. We invest in and develop our talent and are hiring a Head of Strategic Climate Partnerships to lead our Strategic Accounts function within the Commercial team
- You will work closely with Ecologi's enterprise clients to support them in the implementation of their climate strategy, providing insight and guidance to help optimise their investment in carbon management and nature-restoration solutions
- Client Work (~60%)
- Work with existing clients to create long-term value for both parties, focusing on impact, trust, and partnership
- Lead thoughtful, well-prepared conversations that reduce buyer risk and support informed decision-making
- Develop and deepen relationships with strategic clients, engaging key stakeholders across functions and seniority
- Collaborate closely with Customer Success team to align account planning and relationship development
- Team Leadership (~20%)
- Lead and support the team (currently 1 direct report) through coaching, feedback, and shared learning
- Create space for curiosity, humility, and continuous improvement
- Encourage high standards, accountability, and ethical decision-making
- Strategy & Improvement (~20%)
- Work with Commercial Director to evolve growth strategy in line with Ecologi’s impact-led ethos
- Stay close to market, climate, and competitor developments to ensure relevance and credibility with clients as their “trusted climate expert”
- Reflect on what is working, what is not, and adapt approach while staying true to team values
- First Year Goals:
- Complete a six-month in-depth onboarding programme
- Build relationships and partnerships within your client network
- Take full responsibility for your portfolio and pipeline by month six
- Coach and develop your team to exceed growth targets
Our take
People are becoming increasingly aware of the damage that humans have caused to our planet, and many companies are trying to help by planting forests, switching to sustainable products, and reducing their carbon footprint. However, taking such initiatives usually requires sizeable donations to charities, something that smaller businesses are rarely able to afford.
Ecologi provides monthly subscriptions to individuals and businesses that allow them to take charitable action and become climate positive for as low as £4.70 per month. Subscriptions help fund forests, sustainable energy projects, and other charity work, and in exchange customers receive sustainable thankyou gifts, workforces take climate action, and businesses can encourage purpose in the workplace.
Whilst there are countless charities that individuals and companies can work with to make positive changes to the planet, Ecologi has approached their B Corporation smartly by focusing on simplifying the organization of charity work and minimizing the money that individuals must spend. Recent projects that Ecologi has supported include the protection of the Amazonian rainforest, reforestation in Madagascar, and agricultural volunteering in Vietnam.
