Who you are
- Prior experience with office or facilities management, including developing and executing on employee programming and events
- Operate with a high sense of ownership and attention to detail
- Have excellent organizational, administrative, and problem solving skills
- Have excellent professional verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with team members across all levels effectively
- Confident with technology and able to pick up new systems quickly. Have working knowledge of G-Suite (for calendar, email, and docs), Slack, and Zoom are a must. Previous experience working in Asana and ticketing software systems preferred
- Be able to leverage the tools at hand to drive your workflow
- Have a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working collaboratively with your team and cross-functional partners
What the job involves
- We put our customers first; and on the Workplace team, we put Vanta’ns first by creating spaces and systems that empower Vanta’ns to do their best work
- You will play a critical role on our Workplace team by directly managing our London office while also supporting our global, company-wide Workplace programs and projects. The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about making our London office a welcoming, thriving space, and continually seeking ways to improve our offices and programming
- Manage the day-to-day operations of our London office, including facilities maintenance and repair, events, processes, policies, and communications. This includes:
- Serving as the in-person, main point of contact for all London office needs and questions
- Monitoring, ordering, and stocking office supplies, snacks, and beverages in alignment with usage and our set budget
- Actively monitor the office for facilities concerns and facilitate timely repairs with building management
- Actively monitor our vendors’ work, ensure they’re fulfilling their SLAs
- Help employees troubleshoot issues with office equipment (i.e. faulty monitors, help printing or using our AV equipment). Actively monitor our IT & AV equipment to ensure it is in good working order and partner with IT to resolve any issues
- Help employees book conference rooms for team offsites and other ad hoc events held in the London Office. Track usage to ensure that we’re not booking more meetings or offsites than we have capacity to support
- Own the planning and execution of our London office programming, including:
- Our monthly London office happy hours
- Our two large summer and Holiday Celebrations
- Work with local Vanta’ns to curate additional Workplace-sponsored, but Vanta’n-driven programming for our team
- Help support employees hosting special events in our London office as needed
- Drive larger projects like overseeing our move into a new office and preparing our new space for its opening
- Work with our Senior Global Workplace Manager and London Site Leads to build programming and processes for our London office that drive functionality, culture, and office attendance
- In addition to directly managing the London office, this person will also support our global, company-wide Workplace programs by contributing to team OKRs/KPIs and driving assigned special projects (i.e. sourcing and vetting new Workplace vendors, helping launch new Workplace programs)

The security auditing process is usually very time-consuming, taking hours to complete, and it is often difficult for start-ups to invest time into such a process. Yet, the benefits of security accreditation are enormous, mainly as many such businesses are working globally and need ways to demonstrate security compliance to one another. Vanta works specifically with start-ups to help them complete and pass security audits such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
The company is a compliance portal and security monitoring platform that businesses use to assess their risk levels. Vanta carries out a pre-audit of a company's digital security and highlights areas that need to be worked on before a full analysis of all threats is carried out. Other businesses such as Datadog or PagerDuty offer similar security monitoring services, but Vanta monitors its customers throughout the year, allowing any issues to be identified and addressed early on.
Vanta has found a valuable cybersecurity niche within the giant SaaS market. Companies such as Lattice, Clubhouse, and Calm are all customers, demonstrating a growing trend for companies to manage their cybersecurity proactively, which Vanta should be able to take advantage of to further grow and develop into the future.
