Who you are
- We recruit students and grads who are smart and curious with excellent communication skills. Our teams have degrees in many different disciplines. - You LOVE running
- You're great at talking to new people and building relationships
- You are on track to receive a 1st or 2:1 (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree and graduating in summer 2026
- You're a self-starter, highly organised and can manage lots of spinning plates
- You’re curious, eager to learn, and can adapt quickly across different teams
- Loves a fast-paced environment and is passionate about making an impact
- You are commercially minded and can quickly understand business implications of different decisions

- Have held a leadership role in a university society or founded your own side business
- Have had hands on experience working in partnerships or with social media ambassadors
What the job involves
- We’re launching an exciting graduate program that will offer candidates the opportunity to rotate across three of our core business development teams — Ambassadors, Partnerships and Events enabling successful candidates to gain diverse, hands-on experience across Runna’s go to market functions! We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about running, super switched on & eager to learn, and ready to dive into the world of a fast-growing startup!
- Identify potential ambassadors and build relationships with them: Work with our amazing affiliates who share their running journeys with Runna. You’ll help us to find new potential faces to represent Runna and help our current ambassadors them get the most out of our app, keep them informed about upcoming races and events, and ensure they have all the tools to succeed
- Support ambassador managers: Assist with ambassador events, race trips, and the management of high-value, long-term partners
- Optimise the ambassador program: Continuously improve the experience for our ambassadors by creating inspiring content, campaigns, and sharing new ways to showcase our app
- Support existing partnerships: Collaborate with our Partnerships team to help nurture existing relationships with race providers, brands, and registration platforms
- Develop new partnership opportunities: Get involved in identifying, pitching, and managing partnerships with new brands and race providers in the UK and beyond
- Contribute to team-wide projects: From assisting at events to collaborating with the Ambassadors and Marketing teams, you’ll gain a broad perspective on how partnerships help drive the company’s growth
- Event Planning and Coordination: Support on the logistics, planning, and coordination of Runna events, including securing venues, managing registrations, coordinating vendors, and handling transportation and inventory
- Marketing and Community Engagement: Collaborate on event marketing, manage ticketing, source branded materials, and gather community feedback to improve future events
- Over the course of the graduate programme you will rotate into the above areas (exact duration of each rotation TBD based on business needs and your specific skill set) - after you have rotated across each area, you will have the opportunity to join one of the teams in a permanent associate role

- Take Home Task (~60 minutes)
- Interview Round 2: Interview with Holly & Josh (45-minutes, presenting task)
- Final Round: Office visit (in-person chat with founder(s) and rest of the team)

- We’ll let you know if you’ve been invited to interview w/c 6th January
- Round one interviews (virtual) will take place w/c 20th January

Our take
As a way to keep fit, running has shot up in popularity in recent years, partially due to accessibility, especially during the pandemic. But for those who want to take running to the next level – whether that be a 5K or a marathon – it can be difficult to know where to start in terms of a training plan. Runna supplies an app with personalised training plans for all types of runs, to help people achieve their running and fitness goals.
Runna was founded in 2020 by running enthusiasts for running enthusiasts, in response to the lack of tools – save paying a professional trainer – available to help runners train. Although there is a wealth of day-to-day running apps available, where Runna stands out is in providing training plans for specific races, which can be distinguished by distance and goal time. In addition, it does this whilst maintaining a sense of community, which has proven to be a popular feature amongst other running apps, and still caters to a range of experience levels.
Runna has since consistent subscriber growth since its launch, serving thousands of users globally. The company plans to build and scale into the future, reach more customers, and expand its team.
