Who you are
- 5+ years supporting C-suite or senior executive leaders, ideally in a fast-paced tech or SaaS environment
- A reputation for trustworthiness, discretion, and genuine respect from colleagues
- Strong calendar management skills and a clear approach to prioritization
- Excellent written communication; able to draft crisp messages and agendas with minimal input
- Comfortable building relationships and working cross-functionally at every level of the organization

- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and expense tools (such as Brex, Coupa, etc.)
What the job involves
- Our Chief Growth Officer leads one of the most dynamic Sales organizations at Instructure.
- He moves fast, operates at a high level, and needs a sharp, proactive partner who keeps everything in motion so he can stay focused on what matters most.
- This isn't a traditional support role—it's a strategic one. You'll manage the operational rhythm of a C-Suite executive, build real relationships across the business, and think two steps ahead so nothing falls through the cracks
- Own the CGO’s calendar: prioritize ruthlessly, protect time for deep work, and ensure every meeting has a purpose
- Build meeting agendas that drive clarity and decisions, ensuring the CGO is prepped in advance
- Book and manage all domestic and international travel, end to end
- Arrange ground transportation, lunches, and logistics proactively
- Process and reconcile expenses accurately and on time
- Partner closely with the CGO’s direct reports, VPs, Chief of Staff, and their teams to anticipate and prepare for upcoming needs
- Plan and execute elevated recognition events and team moments that feel authentic and personal
- Source and send thoughtful gifts and touches that reflect our culture
- Anticipate needs, flag risks, and bring forward solutions—not just problems
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
Our take
Instructure is an education technology company, creator of the Canvas Learning Management Platform that allows schools to build digital learning environments that meet the needs of their institutions. The platform simplifies teaching, elevates learning, and eliminates the headaches of supporting and growing traditional learning technologies.
The Canvas platform has grown to become a key part of a large number of educational institutions, from pre-school to higher education. Meanwhile, the company has gone international and hit the $1 billion market cap, made a number of acquisitions and invested in R&D. In fact, much of Instructure's workforce is dedicated to R&D, which shows their focus on innovating.
Instructure was itself acquired in 2024 by KKR, which supports a broad-based equity ownership program for Instructure employees. With KKR's record of acquired companies, this is a promising development. And, as the company centres a future-oriented vision and brand strategy, it will be interesting to see what it does next.
