Lead Accountant, Ping Identity

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
• CPA certification
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, with public accounting or financial reporting experience preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX controls
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
• Works well in a team environment, as well as independently
• Excellent research and analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and follow through to execute all tasks

• Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting, you will play a key role in preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, supporting technical accounting matters, and contributing to strategic accounting initiatives

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Assist in the interpretation and application of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate timely and efficient audits and reviews, ensuring all necessary supporting documentation is provided
• Conduct research on complex accounting transactions and prepare written accounting memos for review by management and external auditors
• Support prospective mergers and acquisitions activity, including financial due diligence and purchase price accounting
• Work closely with internal teams (FP&A, Tax, Corporate Development, etc.) and external advisors (e.g., legal counsel) as needed to support all financial data reporting needs
• Assist with special projects impacting the broader accounting organization
• Stay up to date with emerging accounting pronouncements and industry trends, assessing their impact on the organization
