Role
Who you are
- You will need the right energy, personal drive, natural curiosity, with a track record of success in sales
- We are seeking candidates based in Amsterdam, who will spend a minimum of 2-3 days in the office
- Be fluent in Hebrew and English
- Have experience in an Account Executive position in a technology company. SaaS video or web conferencing solutions selling experience is a bonus
- Have experience with outbound sales to upsell/cross-sell
- Have verbal skills with consultative professional business acumen
- Have experience reaching sales targets, forecasting accuracy and client satisfaction
- Be empathic, curious by nature, organised, responsible, and self-motivated
- Be open to learning new things and be willing to grow
What the job involves
- In this role, you will work with small business clients (employee count of 1 to 50). Working in a defined geographic territory, you will provide them with the right Zoom services to meet their needs
- This involves engaging with new and existing customers, developing and maintaining business, while also closing on various sources of inbound leads
- The Zoom sales team is a dynamic force driving the company's success. With a focus on delivering cutting-edge communication solutions for clients across all sectors, the team passionately engages with clients worldwide
- Through strategic partnerships and a customer-centric approach, they play a pivotal role in expanding Zoom's global presence and ensuring businesses harness the full potential of virtual collaboration
- Reaching out to new and existing customers, creating upsell/cross-sell opportunities in your market, engaging in outbound calling
- Meeting or exceeding sales and product objectives
- Creating client demos/presentations, and quotes/proposals
- Qualifying leads and identifying prospect needs, engaging technical resources as required
- Conducting high-level conversations with C-Level and VP Level executives to address business needs
- Using Salesforce CRM to provide timely and accurate sales activity tracking and status updates
- Working strategically with management to deliver forecasts, identify trending opportunities/challenges, and provide recommended solutions
Our take
Zoom reworked video conferencing when most people assumed it was a solved problem, with services from Cisco and Skype already ubiquitous in workplaces and homes. However, its videoconferencing infrastructure was simpler to use, faster and more flexible than any previous solution, and it swiftly took the world by storm.
Its success bred competition, however, and companies such as Microsoft and Google, along with numerous smaller communications firms, have begun making inroads on Zoom's formerly commanding lead. Additionally, as workplaces are mostly adopting a hybrid or flexible working strategy, some of its importance as a workplace tool is wearing off and it is recording a gradual decline in daily usage rates.
To counter these trends, Zoom is expanding its business offerings through product development and strategic acquisitions. Alongside many other large tech companies, it has battled through a difficult economic situation, but it nonetheless remains a profitable company and household name. Plus, its track record of innovation means it is still very much one to watch in the communications space.
