Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of overall software development experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant degree
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Zendesk and Salesforce
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Proficient with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue and React
- Familiarity with Webcomponents, Webpack, GraphQL, Docker, and Apollo
- You've designed, built and shipped modern, component-based user interfaces
- You write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your users
- You're passionate about building technology at scale and solving challenges for your customers in creative and innovative ways
- You enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment and adapting to shifting priorities
What the job involves
- As a Full Stack Developer on the team, you will be responsible for helping craft the future of our service for our applications
- You will be working closely with people across engineering, product, and design to help develop an amazing experience for our agency & brand customers
- Build, test and ship new user-facing code in modern tools
- Partner with other engineers, product managers, designers and leadership to turn our vision into a concrete roadmap every quarter
- Create trustworthy user experiences by building products that are simple, easy to understand, performant and reliable
- Advise on feasibility and offer creative solutions for interactive UI elements, optimal user experience and efficiency
- Turn design concepts into polished, accessible, cross-browser, responsive templates and reusable components
- Leverage your experience with a broad range of technology stacks, platforms and workflow tools to do your best work and teach others to do the same
- Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our systems across the board
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot framework
- Implement and manage MongoDB databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Collaborate with the team using GitHub for version control and code reviews
Our take
Advertising used to be a simple process, with campaign formats existing of TV, print, and out-of-home, but the increased variety of digital devices these days has resulted in a demand for omnichannel advertisement. This is not only complicated due to needing to customize content for CTV, mobile, and other emerging content formats, but also because each campaign must be managed, financed, and analyzed for success.
Mediaocean provides an omnichannel advertisement management platform that facilitates the management of advertisement media buying for any format. In addition to media management, the platform also includes data analysis tools for the optimization of campaign success and a media accounting dashboard for the management of advertisement financing.
Whilst new omnichannel advertisement platforms are appearing regularly, Mediaocean stands out with its end-to-end approach, as opposed to focussing on media buying, accounting, or data analysis like most competitors. Furthermore, whilst users can access Mediaocean's solutions through its unified platform, the company also provides APIs to allow for integrations with other advertising workflows and platforms.
Underscoring this end-to-end approach is Mediaocean's acquisition of Innovid in 2024. This will further expand Mediaocean's reach, as it merges its acquisition with another omnichannel business - Flashtalk - that it purchased in 2021. This portfolio merging will increase the control and choice advertisers have over data and decisions as to where ad spend goes.
