Role
Who you are
- Experience: 3+ years in a technical solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or similar role within SaaS, fintech, or e-commerce environments
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and integration patterns
- Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PHP, Java)
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopware, Shopify, Magento), ERP systems, and POS integrations is highly desirable
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills in English (German or other European languages a plus), with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with a proactive, ownership-driven approach to complex challenges
- Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and commercial teams, as well as directly with external partners
- Customer Focus: Strong relationship-building skills and a passion for delivering outstanding partner experiences
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
What the job involves
- As a Technical Solutions Engineer at topi, you will operate at the intersection of our Product & Tech teams, Business/Commercial teams, and our external partners—primarily IT and electronics sellers across Europe
- You will play a pivotal role in designing, scoping, and implementing technical integrations that power our Hardware-as-a-Service platform, including e-commerce shop systems, ERP solutions, and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems
- You will also help define architectures for strategic third-party integrations, ensuring topi remains at the forefront of digital financing for hardware assets
- Integration Leadership: Lead the technical discovery, scoping, and implementation of integrations with partner e-commerce shops, ERP systems, and POS solutions, ensuring seamless onboarding and long-term success for our partners
- Solution Architecture: Design and document robust, scalable technical architectures for both standard and custom integrations, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and commercial stakeholders
- Technical Advisory: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to both internal teams and external partners, translating business requirements into technical solutions and communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Partner Enablement: Support IT and electronics sellers from across Europe in integrating topi’s APIs and vendor tools into their sales channels, providing hands-on guidance, troubleshooting, and best practices throughout the integration lifecycle
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with topi’s product, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure partner feedback is incorporated into our roadmap, and that integrations align with our strategic goals
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of internal tools, integration guides, and documentation to improve partner experience and operational efficiency
- Strategic Projects: Scope and lead integrations with other third-party platforms of strategic relevance to topi, supporting our expansion and innovation initiatives

Despite radical changes in the world of B2C transactions, B2B payments are still restrictive, slow and plagued with bureaucracy. topi solves this problem by offering businesses innovative payment solutions, effectively bringing the "buy now, pay later" revolution from consumer spending to business purchases.
Topi focuses on hardware subscriptions, allowing companies to offer hardware as a service to their own business customers. Aside from providing the logistics and insurance needed in these transactions, it provides APIs that allow sellers to integrate Topi's hardware rentals to their existing sales channels. Also supporting upfront purchases and Klarna-like BNPL options, this added flexibility has proven attractive to businesses, and its initial rollout includes partners such as McSHARK, comspot and implement-it.
Topi has benefited considerably from its founders' experiences at companies such as Goldman Sachs, Apple and BCG. Having also raised an impressive amount of funding, the company will now need to focus on expanding its sales and marketing efforts and fuelling growth through its growing list of online retailer partner companies.
