Role
Who you are
- FinTech, SaaS, or Finance background within the Payments domain
- Proven experience leading customer workshops to gather requirements in financial services projects
- Skilled in creating documentation for business and technical
- Expertise in process redesign for efficient outcomes
- Ability to produce clear, detailed solution requirements and estimates. Understanding current processes, requirements, and design solutions
- Able to lead large workshops both in-person and remotely
- Experience acting as a technical lead on projects
- Proven experience delivering configuration/code on time and within budget
- Monitor development progress and address deviations from the plan
- Experience overseeing defect triage, defining test cases, contributing to test plans, and aligning them with solution design
- Strong understanding of change control and managing scope changes
- Strong understanding of the phases of the software development and implementation lifecycle
- Strong understanding of MS SQL, data querying & data manipulation
- Strong understanding of SQL performance tuning
- Strong understanding of SSRS / Power BI or similar reporting suites
- Strong collaborator who can work across all areas of the business from Pre-sales through to Delivery and onto Customer Success
What the job involves
- We are seeking a diligent Payments Programme Delivery Manager to join our Professional Services team
- As a Programme Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects within a defined portfolio
- Your role will involve both defining methodologies, and acting within existing ones, acting as the central point of communication, capturing requirements, designing solutions, and creating project plans and estimates
- You will prepare resource plans in collaboration with the Head of Resource & Capability, oversee quality control, manage budgets, and report progress and risks to clients and internal teams
- Additionally, you will ensure acceptance testing is completed according to agreed plans, collect feedback to refine methodologies and develop your own, and that of your project resources, capability, and expertise
- This role has a varied and challenging remit where you will interact with the Project Sponsor and communicate with business users
- Reporting To: Head Of Resource & Capability
- Communication: Serve as the central point of communication with clients and internal teams
- Requirements Capture & Solution Design: Manage all requirements capture and solution design elements
- Project Planning & Estimation: Create detailed project plans and estimates
- Resource Planning: Prepare resource plans for the portfolio/programme in conjunction with the Head of Resource & Capability
- Quality Control: Oversee and ensure the quality of deliverables within the portfolio/programme
- Budget Management: Manage the budget in line with the plan and deliverables
- Reporting: Report progress, risks, and dependencies to clients and internally
- Solution Ownership: ensuring the solution is built to requirements
- Acceptance Testing: Ensure acceptance testing is completed according to agreed test plans
- Use of Methodology: Work within or establish and implement methodologies to meet all work within the specific remit
- Process Improvement: Collect feedback on methodologies and refine processes accordingly
- Capability Development: Continuously develop your own capability and expertise and those of your project resources
- Work Estimation: Estimate work and project timelines accurately
- Demand & Man-Day Models: Develop demand and man-day models for all delivery work
- Client Obligations Management: Manage all key client obligations, dependencies, and milestones
- Client Testing Management: Oversee client testing phases according to defined plans
- Project Delivery: Ensure successful project delivery
- Project Planning & Execution: Plan and execute projects effectively
- Change Requests: Harvest change requests (CRs) from contracted work
